I finally got around to looking up the definition of  ->-bleeped-<-. I know enough Greek to figure out what the word means, but I wanted to know the theory behind it. I can say that having seen the "science" behind this term, I'm not surprised that most women get angry about it. I've never seen a more hetero/cis-normative idea try to be applied to trans* folk. These so-called "theories" hold about as much water as a funnel.

Sometimes when I'm reading an article or reading the comments on something, I just get fed up with people's bigotry. Yesterday I was reading the comments on a piece about the Chrysalis fashion line (They make underwear and bras specifically for trans women) and saw someone say "Of course they had to get real women to model this stuff, because ->-bleeped-<-s are too ugly". It specifically said in the article that all the models were trans women. I just threw up my hands and said "That's it, I'm done! I can't deal with this right now!" and turned off my browser.

I'm sorry, I'm just a really depressing person to be around sometimes. I think I'll go eat some ice cream. Here's a picture of a kitten to make you feel better.

Why the hell I have bunch of drawing ideas that always seem to disappear when I finally pick up a pencil and paper to actually draw them?

I'm tired of my SO watching Battlestar Galactica.  He's watching it on his computer so I can't see it, only hear it.

I have a serious problem with picking at stuff.  I had a pimple on my check a week or so ago, and I picked it off, so it scabbed over, and I picked that scab off, and on and on. I am still picking at it, and now I have a big red spot on my cheek, it'll probably scar over once I eventually stop picking at the scabs and just let it heel. I just also don't get why I am so pimpley. I never had a problem back in middle or high school, but ever since I moved to FL I've been like pizza face (but only on my chin and cheek area near my lips) except for every once in awhile. I am going to have to wear make-up forever.

It's Florida.  I used to work at Disney World and my face was CONSTANTLY broken out.

Yeah, but I left FL about 2 years ago now. I was hoping it would go away.  :( I kind of think I got some sort of a skin infection down there from all the wee beasties that float around in the air down there and brought it with me back to less humid climes.

Is your tap water highly flourinated?  Ours has lots of floride in it and it makes me break out. When I go to conventions my face clears up fast because of the filters the hotels have.

I have no idea. It's well water we pump out of the ground; I think it's "hard water", I 'd guess there's not much if any fluoride in it since we don't put any in.

Oh! Then it's cause it's too hard! See about getting a water softener! It will do wonders!

I need to learn more songs on the piano.  I know my recital song from when I was 7ish, anime theme songs, a song from Pokemon and a song from Sailor moon.  And I'm working on White Wishes from Tales of Graces.

Thanks for the suggestion Darkie, it'll probably help our washing machine too.

Time to visit the dermatologist before your face becomes a permanent mess hon!

As well as the texture of your hair!

Softer water lets you use less soap in your wash too. Although many people complain about how it can seem like they can never get all the soap washed off themselves in the shower due to the slickness you can get from showering in soft water.

My water is an overflow well that is high in minerals and hydrogen sulfate, so I have a softener and another filter system that takes out the smell. Not cheap, but worth it.

I'm fixing 8 hotdogs on the George forman grill, I fully intend to ingest every last one of them in one sitting.
