Otoko no ko is a term used to refer to crossdressing men who have innate feminine characteristics and enjoy dressing in clothes typically reserved for females. These are the types of crossdressers which the creator of Yuri Danshi, Naoko Tachibana wants to focus on for this book.

This type of dressing seems to be popular in Japan.  I watched a doc. that had resturants where men dressed as women and it was a really popular place.  Cosplay is so accepted there and really well liked as well, I wonder if passerby's simply thought this was cosplay to begin with?  I dunno, I like Tachibana though.
