Hi all , I have an embarrassing issue and I am trying to think of a way to word this , anyway , I am 10 or 12 years post op and have been off hormones for about 7 years and got really lazy with dilating , ( btw I am 60 years old) I have never been comfortable talking about sex and I am kind of a prude but I am not judgmental and actually envy people that have a free spirit about sex , but something happened to me about 4 months ago I now have this urge to become sexually active , I think about it now like 24/7 so I figured it was time to get the vag back in shape and I started to dilate again , OMG what a mistake in stopping and I remember back when I first had srs my Doc gave me a scritp for lidocaine to help with dilating , as I am really tiny so I figured that's what I need to do , get lidocaine again and I found some on the internet Topicaine5% gel , now I figure ok this is good so I use it and sure enough I was able to dilate in comfort and then to my horror on my clit hood the gel caused a small hematoma and it swelled like crazy and I freeked , and I then read the box that the topicaine came in , sure enough , says , do not use on mucous membrane but luckily the hematoma was gone in one day , but the swelling is still there so my sister in law got her obgyn to see me so that has put my mind at ease , now for the real EMBARRASSING PROBLEM , when ever I walk , sit , go to stand up , any movement causes my clit to respond but here is the issue , the tissue or the nerve that connects the clit becomes like semi erect and causes a small buldge like a hard ridge leading to the clit but once I relax it goes away , if this makes any sense , so my Q is , is this normal , I never felt this ever , I am thinking maybe because the labia is swollen it woke up my clit maybe or maybe because I stopped hormones , I plan on going back on hormones again  anyway , that's my crazy problem , Thanks , Anne

Flan

"Topicaine" contains alcohol which is why it can't be used around mucous membranes (it'll dry them out/inflame). A mild muscle relaxant might help more than depending on pain management since there is risk of injury that you won't sense with lidocaine/prilocaine cream.

Otherwise sounds like fairly normal sexual response if the PC muscle is excited (barring a graft of corpus spongiosum).
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.
