Nobody said you'd never pass!

You have soft features and should go on HRT :)

you look fabulous thread seems a little too daunting to me, and i have this assumption that i must pass first in order to post there, as if it's a promotion.

From what I gather and have seen on that thread, it's the I'm happy with the way things are going and here is a picture of me being happy. I myself only posted one picture in there so far, and it was because my partner commented on how "smexy" I looked :P I don't think it's you must look 100% passable female in order to post, anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

And last I'm going to mention this (honest), I wasn't coming at RavenMoon that what she said was wrong or harsh. She was very honest in her first post about male features, which is exactly what people are looking for, 100% honesty with no BS. It was just that she felt that she had to repeat her same critique after quite a few compliments which I thought was unnecessary. Let the girl take into consideration the critique and then read a few compliments and enjoy them and just leave it at that.

Again just clarifying that I'm not coming at anyone, lets all drop this and move on. Like I said before not a big deal. Nothing more to comment on but the next posters picture

Maybe I should start a passing thread in the non-transitioning forum.

That I think is actually a good idea, if you don't plan on starting HRT. I was reading it the same way when I read your post about thinking you'd never pass.

I agree too, that you have very soft round features and I can definitely see some potential. If you're not planning on HRT it is all about the styling. I would definitely have your brows done, grow the hair out, and with styling and makeup techniques I think you'd look very feminine  :)

EDIT* And just looking at your hair now, I would brush it forward and wear it in a pixie style. It would look really cute. Kind of like Robyn (Pic)

But do I have any hope of passing as female?  I know I have a better starting point than a lot of other people, so if the answer is no, it's not the end of the world.

I do think it is possible  :)

Good comments, I couldn't agree more. Glad someone has a good eye for what would work for her, I'm not good at that and should probably not comment on this thread, but I want to be positive and not discourage someone with this much potential.

Don't worry too much about discouraging me. Whether or not I'm going to end up passing, I'm still going to move forward, just want to be realistic about the end result is all.  Its nice to hear you think I have potential though :)

I know what I like, but I'm a dork when it comes to these critiques.

And if I can't/don't want to go on HRT?

I'm puzzled by this. This is the MTF form. The members here are currently or are planning to transition from male to female. This is a permanent process where you are altering the appearance and sexual characteristics of your body to that of a female. You cannot do this without going on hormone therapy. Otherwise you are just a cross dresser wanting to look like a female. That's fine, but I think it's safe to say that isn't what this forum is about.

Even professional (as in entertainers) cross dressers rarely look like cisgender women. The few that do are just lucky to look that way.

So just out of curiosity, what are your goals and motivation?

Heyy, everyone, just created a new vid and not really sure how well I'm passing now that I've been off HRT for 4 months:

When I look at this video, I see multiple traits that inhibit passing...would rather not name them, tho, lol. It's not soo important, anymore, cause I'm primarily living as a boy, but I would still like to look like a girl when presenting as a girl. Opinions? Be brutally honest, please don't sugarcoat, I work off criticism!

Whatever those traits are you're talking about, I don't see them. I think you look fine. Though I can see you as a guy (basically you look like a girl who looks like a girl, could pass for a guy if she presented as one, if that makes any sense).

Wow....that's pretty harsh.  As for answering your question, thanks, but no thanks, I'll just take my business elsewhere if I'm not "allowed" to post in here.  Bye now.

If I could disagree, there is a LOT more to being transgender than HRT, so choosing not to undergo HRT hardly seems like it means someone isn't transgender. If you feel that you are a woman inside, and choose to present and live as one 24/7 for the rest of your life, then that sounds like a transwoman to me, HRT or not.

You know that I know you and everything I told you previously still stands regardless of how you desire to present, you know that you can be a gay boy or be a woman without any effort. Just be aware that if you intend to fool someone at some place in the future it could become a life threatening experience for you. Your Auntie Shan still thinks you are a sweetie regardless, so use good sense.

Exactly it's how you present yourself on the outside and how you feel on the inside among a thousand other things.

Please sit and stay awhile, you have every right to be here and post. I'm sure it came off differently than she meant, I think she just wants to understand more where you are coming from.

It's okay, I started a new thread for the "crossdressers who want to look female"

Susan's Place is an inclusive transgender site and Cross dressers are part of that group, let's keep the Site Terms of Service and rules to live by in mind when posting

Quote10. Bashing or flaming of any individuals or groups is not acceptable behavior on this web site and will not be tolerated in the slightest for any reason.  This includes but is not limited to:
Advocating the separation or exclusion of one or more group from under the Transgender umbrella term
Suggesting or claiming that one segment or sub-segment of our community is more legitimate, deserving, or more real than any others

Thank you

Only because you opted for brutal honesty, I'll say I spotted two one of those (only). It's low facial fat which reduces your score to about 92% 95% pass. And with that voice I can't see how you can possibly pass as male. 100%, no one would doubt you unless something else than your looks, voice and mannerism betrayed you.

I edited my post so as to give a just assessment to her, since I was wrong about the other feature.
I've found it takes love to make or do something, and without love it's senseless; void, empty, vain.

I know I'm jealous of that voice! Mine is so monotone and kind of deep, meh  :-\

Yeppp, that's one of the ones I was thinking, it makes my face look like...overly chiseled or something? I was on HRT for about 4 months 3 months ago and it reaaally helped in that dept, to the point where everyone commented on how full my face had gotten...ohh welll, lol. It's not as bad/noticeable with makeup/contouring (I had a nude face in that vid). What's the other trait? Also, hmm, my height betrays me because I'm approx. 5'11, but I have a very feminine/hourglass shape so much so it's a bit of a turnoff to gay guys sometimes :p

I honestly feel like at this point in time, even though I have no immediate plans to retransition one day...it's still a distinct possibility. So comments like yours help in deciding!
Not so much as chiselled, no. It's more of a thing how your skin looks, the lack of subcutaneous fat makes your skin sort of fold more than it should. Note the creases at the ends of your mouth. And also it makes your cheeks look a bit flat. But you're still very much passable.

Such as I, I started at 22/23 and now am starting again at 35. I however definitely need the help HRT provides, I think you basically have IT, you just needed the refining HRT provides.

However I too understand the feelings of being more comfortable in the gender fluid/queer aspect. It all came clear though that I feel way more feminine and want to present that as much as possible. I have been in a "gay" relationship for 9 years though, and with his acceptance (thank God) I finally feel free to transition with no doubts. Family will be another can of worms, but in my personal life with work and my partner and IRL I feel wonderful about my transition. Which is a comfort I definitely did NOT have when I was 22/23 and therefore quit HRT.

I hope you happiness and acceptance in whatever you choose <3

You want "brutal honesty."  Okay then.

I have three daughters, age 27 to 19.  I know my daughter's friends.  I coached girl's soccer teams.  I have seen lots and lots of teenaged girls interacting.

You fit right in.

I am sorry of that is not the criticism you are looking for, Stephanie/Seth.  But it is my honest opinion based on dealing with teenaged girls for the past 14 years.   :)
