is it to late for me to start hrt?

I know it really is never to late. I do however know the later you start hrt in life the less effective it may be. I am only in my mid 20s and feel it is just to late. I see people who start in their teens and I wish I had. wish I had to have the best results possible. anyone extremely happy with their results when starting their transition later in like ie after 30 ie breast growth?

Hon, it's only natural to feel it's too late. I'm not quite yet 20, and even for me it feels like it's too late sometimes. I wished I'd had the proper hormones during puberty, as did most transpeople. But, I see inspiration in those who are in their 40's, 50's, and 60's who are just now starting HRT.
You've just got to roll with the punches, take what life gives you, and hope for a little luck with this

Nah, I started when I was 29 and I'm more than happy now (at 33). Mid 20's should be a breeze. Everyone wishes that they started when they were 12 but that's just not the case for most of us. The girls who do will have their own set of problems. We have ours. Just trust me: don't wait if you're really sure about this.

Mid 20's you should also get great results... but bear in mind, results can limited by genetics

another thing is telling family, job and my gf about this. would be easy to just move across country start a new life then send them a letter. I know I cant do this but an easy way to start my new life. *sigh*

Absolutely never to late to start.  I started at 54 and I am now 59.

Well, that's not a certainty that you can't do that but I'd say that it's more rewarding to face the fears and just tell the truth. Your GF may understand, she might not. Mine's still with me to this day. With family, most will understand with some time and patience (on your part), some may not.

Are you seeing a GID therapist? You'll really want to start there as they can provide you with the tools you'll need to take these actions. I went the hard-core route and just pulled off the band-aid but I'd really recommend not doing that one.

I admit that I've felt that way many times myself. To quite extreme ends, sometimes.

The trouble with this, however, is that you are putting your fate, maybe literally, in the lap of the gods. It's a bit of a gamble. And assumes that a) you get the choice, b) something out there knows what you want, or c) that either is able to do anything about it. For all we know, the next life, if there is one, may involve flinging dung at each other in the depths of a rainforest.

Better, perhaps, to take control of this life yourself than hope for just the right cosmic circumstances in the next one. The best results aren't solely determined by age. I would suggest moreso by how much you want it, and are willing to put in the time and effort. Nothing worthwhile in life is ever easy. But it is possible. Heck you just have to look at other women here, who found themselves later in life and acted upon that, to see how stunningly beautiful, exceptionally graceful, and serenely peaceful it's possible to be within and without.

Yeah, the reason I finally transitioned is more of a Pascal's wager kinda thing: If there's no afterlife and if I don't get to come back as anything at all or if I do but it's nothing like what I want, isn't it a better option to just choose to live my life in the way that suits me best and as the person I really am rather than spending the rest of my days miserably waiting on an unsure outcome?

Well, that'd be the first step. They can help you with a lot of what you're going through right now. Don't wait a second on this part though. There's no risk, there's no worry about what might happen if... just go see one. I love mine. She's fab. After we worked through all the trans stuff, she just switched to being my regular therapist.

P.S. - Transition is not the only option here and your GID therapist will help you find the right path for you. If HRT and the whole nine is for you, mazel tov!! If not, awesome as well but if you keep not trying to find an answer, you'll waste a whole lot of time.

In mid-20ties You are kid comparing to many other who have started here . I started in 35 and I am so far quite happy with results. If I was in my 20-ties now, I would have absolutely no hesitation.

  You are all young go for it ! My FIRST visit with the endo is Nov 5th 3 months before I turn 64. You all need to wish me luck I may not remember what HRT is for before it starts working.    Pat

I started when I was 29 and I have absolutely no trouble whatsoever passing. My breasts are only B cups and I wish they'd grow some more but other than that I've been pretty successful in transition.

Yep. To me you're young. I started at 32 and am 100% happy with my results (and 42DDD). Good luck, and I bet you'll be gorgeous!
