Its about 3/4 months since I had my grs and as some are already aware I've not fully healed as of yet. I'm wondering though would it be safe to use a vibrator since i'm not ready yet to have vaginal sex?  :)

Thanks

Should be ok, just be gentle (assuming a vibrator of the poking type as opposed to an egg style or a pocket rocket that is mostly clit stimulating type). I recommend a towel in case things get messy on orgasm. :P
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.

Like the previous poster said, I'm sure you'd be fine. May I recommend a rabbit?  ;)

I tried that but it wouldn't hold the vibrator and kept hoping away.

I think you need to ask this to your surgeon.

I suppose your right Cherrie, better for me to be safe than sorry because the last thing I need is to have more complications  :)

I will admit though, I was just getting a little curious though as to what an orgasm feels like now that I've had grs lol

Ok guys - I'm only a student so this is NOT medical advice... (sorry I have to preface my comment with that or I could get into trouble)

However - having said that, I can tell you that issue is not really with it being a vibe - but rather the fact that:

a.) if you aren't fully healed then any vigorous movement could cause tears or damage
b.) a vibe may not have nicely rounded contours like a dilator and so again could cause damage if not inserted with care.
c.) if you were having sex there would be an infection risk.

That said - I had corrective surgery for my intersex condition about 30 years ago - and I started using a vibe within days of the surgery before the stitches were even fully out... I'm still here and so is my vag! So used carefully I can't see a problem.

That said I concur with everyone that a quick email or telephone call to your supervising doctor (surgeon) just to check is a jolly good idea.

Aside from seconding "ask your surgeon" (which you're going to do!), I personally was cautious about that sort of thing until the site was fully healed. It's hard to predict or control how much vibration will affect half-healed tissue.

That said, nothing at all stops you from trying a non-insertable vibe if you think *that* area is healed. :) The first time I tried that post-op... wow. I gotta say, despite knowing it's the same or fewer nerve endings as before, I couldn't BELIEVE that fact anymore.

Why, was the feeling/orgasm better despite knowing the same or fewer nerve endings as before?   :)

MUCH better. It felt like about 10,000 new nerve endings. :) Still, though, it won't be nearly as much fun if things are still sore there... I remember that part, too.

You said you are at the 3 or 4 month mark. I know most of the surgeons say after 3 months most can has SEX. I would say as long as you do not get to rough with it you should be fine internal or external. But i would look at your discharge papers for the time mark of sex.

The nurses said on my discharge to stay away from vibs for first 3 months or until i felt it was healed enough for sex.

Lots of luck on getting to know your new found BIG O

I had a warm tingly feeling when I dilated on the 2nd week, which I think was kind of an orgasm. I just can't wait to discover the new found BIG O, curiosity more than anything  :)

That's good, 10,000 new nerve endings must have made it real intense  :)
