Hi!
So my wife and I have moved out of NYC, and since then, we have improved on our relationship leaps and bounds. We confronted all of the problems we were having, because we now live in an apartment that we can call our own; without any roommates. The stress free environment allowed us to address the issues in our relationship without exploding on each other emotionally.

I guess the thing that was bugging her was the fact that I was in this sort of "in between" phase where I was female sometimes, and male other times. It had to be either one or the other with her. So I said "I'll just transition then! All this time, I thought I had to go slowly for you because I thought any changes that were too fast would be overwhelming."

So last week, she started calling me by my chosen name, Alyssa. She calls me Aly, but whatever. Pet names are cool lol.

I came out on facebook last night, but unfortunately, my facebook isn't allowing me to change my name... my previous name had a lot of variations, and part of my dysphoria was my name. So I had a lot of variations on it, and FB only allows you to do 5. On top of that, I got married and changed my last name. Sooooooo yeah. I think I have to make a new FB.

But for the most part, everyone seems to be receiving it well! My brother has a problem with it, but he does usually have his initial temper tantrums. He said "I'm not playing this game." I'll give him some time, and he'll come around. My mom is cool with it. I haven't come out to my dad yet... and I don't think I ever will. I will retain a male persona at my new job until I get past the training phase, and then I will come out and go full time female.

My only problem now is getting on HRT. I had a doctor willing to perscribe back in NYC, but unfortunately, housing happened. Long story short: Roommates, terrible living conditions, confrontational landlord. Our current place is beautiful, with a back yard, wood fences, hedges, off street parking, and just over all... nice. I missed living in a clean place that I didn't think was gonna fall over. I like that I can put my food down and turn away for a second without turning back around to find my food covered in bugs, or a mouse grabbing a bite. My baby is safe, happy and healthy!

Just over-all, good news, and progress :)
