When I was competing and pretending to be male a few years ago, those were the days, I was written up as having a long sinuous body in an article by a girl who obviously thought I did not look half bad

My favourite boss wandered into my office today to discuss a new software project... and then she casually remarked that I look completely male now and she can't see a single hint of female in my face. She said that she recently looked at my old (pre-coming out) photo and she didn't recognise me because I've changed so much. We've worked together for about 5 years now so she knew me for a long time by my previous identity.

She said she'd noticed how much calmer & more comfortable I am in my own skin, and the new addition of facial hair just reinforces for her how much I've changed as a person since coming out last year. Not only in looks, but also in body language, personality and self-confidence.

God, I love that woman. She's fantastic. And she really perked me up on a day when I could really do with perking up.

Thanks auntie! I have to look into the practical part of it but if I can work that out, I don't see why I shouldn't take it. I already work there but this is a permanent position. So not screaming too loudly about it yet, but I take it as a really good thing that the boss wants me there Self confidence boost!

A few things:
Got into an endo appointment for tomorrow at 2. Not a dedicated endo, but one of the doctors on campus that deals with transgender issues and can prescribe hormones.
Spent most of the afternoon running around campus putting up TDoR posters.
Finally found what may be a suitable major for me.

Something I just read.

I had 2 events and both were while in guy mode (had some facial hair growth due to today's electrolysis appointment.

• I was walking into the office building of one of my clients. (Custom database design for a freight broker.) The postal worker for the building (a very lovely woman) commented on my hair say that she loved it and most women would die to have my hair. I thanked her for the complement.
  


• The same client today came right out and asked if I was transitioning. I was very nervous because this client is really big and is the future of the software I'm developing and we plan to do a trade show together in April with them selling their services and us our software. Kind of a sudo partnership. However they already knew my wife and I were kinky and they are very open minded.
  
  I Answered truthfully and they could tell that I was happier and knew something was up. They were very supportive and we talked about if for a while at the end of the day. She (the VP I work with most of the time on this project) said she just thought the other day that maybe I was. Nothing in particular caught her attention, it was more just a feeling she had and things combined (long hair, feminine mannerism) caught her attention. Anyway it was a great conversation we both felt good about. (She was also telling me about her previous lesbian experiences and that she thinks her husband might be gay.) Great to have clients like that.
