Ok so i went on my nightly ride tonight, and as i was on the last leg of an 11.6km ride (7.2miles?) its not LONG as such, just VERY hilly =p very very haha and i live in a very hot place, anyways so i was doing my ride, and some stupid d*ck in a car screams out "lose some weight you fat c*nt" and the only reaction i had was to cock my head in a "huh?" kinda way, i mean i was on a godamn pushbike, not guzzling big macs, dunno what he thought i was doing! anyways, so the happy is i didnt emotionally destroy myself cos a random ->-bleeped-<-lord on the street was "mean" to me, it actually fuelled my fire and i got 1m and 9s faster on the last segment than i did my PB :)

And people have the nerve to insist that the devil doesn't exist!  ???

edit: also mother got me to do some heavy lifting of furniature, even though my dad was sitting about on his ass doing nothing, he watched, like he usually does, but mum patted me on the shoulder and said "my strong boy!" /flex

Bless her sweet heart!

One of my friends whom I thought no longer wanted anything to do with me has come around completely.  He's also working on another friend of mine who was in the same boat.  That would be a good thing, as the three of us should have started a killer band 25 years ago.  It just never happened for one reason or another.  I've had bands with both of them at one time or another, but never at the same time.  That hope has been resurrected once again now.

I guess it takes time to process these things sometimes.   I'm just glad he did in the end.

Never give up hope.

You should start a Noise band. It's what all of the cool kids are into these days. You should check out all of the high school kids freaking out on Masonna.  :D

Had a lovely chat with a coworker. I shared my most recent pictures with her and she was very complimentary. She offered to help me organize resources for coming out professionally.

That's cool Gwynne! You want to take advantage of her offer, not everyone gets to have a cis woman as an advocate.

She's a counselor with loads of LGBT experience.

Isn't that what most bands sound like at the first rehearsal?  :D

Nah, we did both kinds of music- hard rock AND heavy metal.

Another thing just made me happy.  I ran into another ex-bandmate and college friend today randomly on the street whom I haven't seen in over a year.  He was absolutely floored at what I look like now.  He knew I transitioned, but he hadn't seen for himself yet.  I knew he was basically OK with it, but I remember him being worried that I was making a big crazy mistake.  I got a hug and an "I love you" from him.  What a great day today was!

I got a whole heap of money back from Medicare (the Australian universal health insurance scheme) for my five visits to the endo last year. More than I was expecting too. I was a bit slack getting the forms in so submitted them all at once. Apparently I've hit some kind of safety net threshold (they must be taking my trips to the shrink and GP into account) and get additional financial support, something I wasn't aware I was eligible for. It'll definitely help with the bills.

That's great Gwynne. Likewise I have a supportive cis woman work colleague and I deeply appreciate being able to discuss my progress with her. Admittedly I do worry about taxing the friendship so I keep it positive just in case I wear out my welcome!

Thanks, yes I was thinking about that however all but two of my endo visits were this financial year and, along with Medicare payments I hadn't passed any threshold last FY. My tax agent said the ATO had discontinued medical expense claims from this FY. Not sure if I misunderstood or if it's being replaced...? A bummer if it's true.
