I've been Crossdressing off and on, mostly in private, for years.
I can't count the times I've sworn off dressing, tossed out my wardrobe, only to find the itch returning, for no apparent reason, a few months later.

Lately I've been in a fallow period, and during the day thoughts of crossdressing of have been noticeably absent.
The nights are a different creature altogether, as for the first time, at least that I can remember, crossdressing has been the main, in fact the only, subject of my dreams.
I spend my dreams in full femme mode, seemingly refusing to shed them for male attire.
The dreams are very enjoyable, and I sense how much pleasure I take from the simple act of wearing the clothes along with the thrill of being noticed, and I believe admired.
Although details of the dreams remain murky the sensual  atmosphere created follows me to daylight leaving a warm glow and a deep, but comforting, longing in their wake.

I normally love to cross-dress for bedtime.

I always wear a silky baby doll or a chemise, and often I wear a matching bra, as I love to have my shoulders covered in tight straps! Recently I have been wearing suspender tights as well. These are really sexy, with make-believe suspenders & stocking tops woven into the fabric. What I really savour is a late night dash to the garbage bin in the baby doll, revealing tights & noisy heels.

But once asleep, I am afraid that I usually dream of mundane things.

When I do dream about femme-dressing, it's normally some form of panic or nightmare, such as being caught wearing a bra by my mother due to the straps becoming exposed, or trying to hide the fact that I am wearing high heels from the postman, or laddering my stockings in the supermarket.

Maybe I should get out (or outed) more often!

when i was closet cd , meaning indoor cd(now still secret cd) , i used to dream those fantastic dreams of being all dressed and wearing heels everywhere and the panic of getting caught by others. the thrill of walking in public in my dreams were a big motivation to see for my self if i could live that excitement in real life.

the day i went out for the first time, i felt all kind of feelings in few hours, i loved the experience, was magical, and was a big accomplishment.
the feeling of your fantasies can be real if you plan a first outing well and special.

my first outing fortunatelly was  with some other cd we met in the net and agreed to meet in order to go out dressed, it was a blast.

no when i go out by myself which is most of the time, i enjoy very much i have a real dream come throught every outing, and i enjoy a lot.

the fear is always inmindnet as i will never know what can happen,

now my dreams of cd are more elavorated, i get ideas basically of wearing stuff or designs on routes where to walk next time, or something i want to try out.
my dreams are not anymore fantasizing on a special shoe or a specific dress, etc,

Gail,

I can really identify with the patterns of your life.  Your message really struck a chord for me.  Thanks for sharing.  Katy

When you dream, are you female?  I often dream this, nothing else about the dream is out of place and the stories take place as usual, only that has changed.

Sometimes I dream I am dressed in female attire, but am male and have anxiety about being found out  (sorta a nude in public type of dream thing).

I wish I could remember my dreams on a regular basis. I would love to dream that I am a female in full female clothing. I worked hard to develop breasts just so I can fill a bra. I do, however, remember before that, that I had dreamed that I had boobs and it seemed so real. Now I really do have them and it feels so nice to fill a full B cup bra. I may be getting into a small C cup soon if I keep up on my regimen.

One of the apparent functions of dreams is to allow us to play out scenarios that remain unresolved from our waking lives. Your experience is a pretty clear demonstration of that. Your dreams are allowing you to be feminine during this period that you are not doing so in in the day. I wouldn't say this necessarily means you should fulfill your needs for femininity in the daytime, but it might. Your life situation is yours alone and you'll have to decide this.

When I was younger I tried to block leanings toward femininity for periods of time and had similar dreams. It's been a long, long time since I had any sort of dream that disturbed me, though. I reached a point where I decided to allow my feminine interests a place in my life for a trial period. I would either get it out of my system during that time or stay with it. What happened for me was to discover that I am a feminine androgynous person. This self knowledge has offered a considerable inner peace that has eliminated the sort of conflicts I went through before and that you seem to be having now.

Yes, Lyric, that sounds about right. It seems to come out in the dreams. The one thing I never can remember, and people have asked me this, is if I dream in color or black and white. I really don't remember. I don't even remember colors that people wear, either, which I find fascinating. I don't know where this feminine journey is going to lead for me, but I am just going to gradually find out as time goes on. At least for now, I have my bra and panties.

When people are healthy and sleep well, their dream tends to be in black and white.
