I don't like the eye shadow. You only need eyeliner and a bit smudged along your eyelids to look great. I think I know what I don't like about your eyebrows. You've plucked too much from the area above the inside corners of your eyes, making your eyebrows look too far apart. But this may be a personal taste.

+1

jussmoi4nao- The eyeshadow is too dark above your inner eye. This makes the eye appear sunken in next to the nose. The only place you want to be applying any dark colors above is towards the outside upper part of the eyelid... riiiight here:

(if any at all). Dark eye shadow is going to enhance the look of any brow bossing you may have. You might be happier for an every day look just using a highlight in these areas (mainly the one along the bottom of your brows):

(visual BEFORE blending out, always blend it out)

I use a shimmery white from time to time under the arch of each brow if I want to instantly give the eyes a little pop. I usually don't use any dark shadow at all unless I'm going out at night- and even then I use it sparingly.

And as always, "less is more" is the name of the game for everyday looks.

Obviously you pass... ;) +1 to VM, head over to the fabulous thread nao plz kthx and I would love to see what you do with the eye shadow!

Here is an ogre that has the misfortune of having a female identity.

6'3" 425 lbs.  Pre-everything.  (My eyebrows are plucked a bit.)

Obviously, losing weight is a massive priority, but otherwise, can this ugly mug work?

If you lost the weight, yeah! If you didn't... eh, maybe... It's kind of hard to tell when you're that deep into guy mode. You don't look like you have any particularly chiseled features, so we'll just have to see.
I'm not here to decorate your world.

*sigh* I was hoping to hear, "No, you are a hideous beast, and an embarrasment to the trangendered community!"

No you're not! There are many here who have felt that way about themselves who have taken control of their lives, lost tons of weight and transformed into very passable women, some even beautiful and now have a wonderful sense of self esteem because of it. It's all about determination and ridding one's self of ever having the notion "Can't," a good word to delete from one's vocabulary right up front. Best wishes!

Sorry I'm searching for someone to tell me no, be a man.   I can't make myself stop obsessing about transition

We can spend all day telling you to be a man, but it won't help... It never does... :(

You're not alone, everyone has panic attacks and dumps here, it's what we do! Some of us are able to help clean up the dumps and get the dumpees pointed in the right direction.  :D

For me, these people were too easy to find, especially at first!!

Nothing can make you what you're not. Find yourself and be yourself; that's currently my major source of happiness right now!

The changes weight loss and HRT can make are astounding, sometimes!

Staring at that picture I see my older (gorgeous) sisters eyes and cheekbones attached to shrek's lower face.

QuoteYou look good sug, but your foundation is just the teensiest bit too dark and also, just a suggestion but you should apply to your forehead as well for a more even look.

I have to keep searching, the kind I like (Miss Sporty) has several tones, with 001 looking like clown white on me and 002 being the kind I'm wearing. It can be so hard to find a foundation that matches that I'm just going to bulk buy a case of it when I do! And I didn't think anyone noticed my forehead lol, thank you for much for the advice <3

Lets see how long this avatar lasts!

Never!!  Just look at the Before & After topic and see the incredible changes.  I covered up your lower face (the part you call "Shrek" - it's not BTW) and did see some lovely eyes.

We all start some place.  You already know what Step 1. is going to be - weight loss - if only for your health going forward.

Referencing the above comment in reply to particle:

Whether or not weight loss is important to you or needed, HRT will likely have an effect on the aforementioned 'bulk' on your face.  One of my goals through HRT is to thin-out the skin/muscle/fat structure around my jawline and mouth.  I wasn't able to see significant evidence of change in the mirror, but today a neighbor asked me if I had lost weight which they judged by my face.  In fact my weight has actually gone UP about 2-3 pounds since starting HRT and since they last saw me.  Obviously something has changed in my face and I've missed it.  I am very thin but the change over just 2.5 months (just short of three weeks after adding estrogen) is already being noticed.

Ogres come in female form too but you needn't be so hard on yourself.  Beauty is not a measure of femininity, whether or not we're talking about what's inside your head.  I'm sure you'll do fine, especially if HRT positively affects your mind.

Great start, JennyH!  Your skin looks very smooth and soft.

How far along are you on facial hair removal?  And work on the eyebrows.  But yeah, you're on your way!  :)
