Joe.

I know we can't pick and chose what changes we get on T and I accept that, however,  I'm really worried about losing my hair. I don't want to be bald in my early 20s. I like my hair. I know I can't change it if it does happen, but I'm wondering if there are ways to cope better with it or any tips from guys who have gone bald young? It's going to be a while until I start T but I want to be prepared.

Hats. Hats are awesome and they make you look stylish.

There are also various treatments, including something called finasteride that I think a couple of the guys here have mentioned using, but that one can have side effects that counteract some of what your T does.

So... yeah. Hats. That, or just embrace the fact that your hair loss REALLY helps you pass. If you shave completely bald you may still have a feminine look, but literally NO ONE looks at typical male pattern baldness and thinks "I wonder if they have two x chromosomes."

Be weird. Be random. Be who you are. Because you never know who would love the person you hide.

If you're scared about it, you can always use Minoxidil (rogaine or generic).  It's still a risk though, so it's up to you to decide if it's worth the risk.

Hats can hide it but they're also not very good for your hair so that's a juggling act in itself!.

However, check out Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), Hugh Dillon...there's lots of bald bad-asses out there anyway! ;).

I'm about to hit thirty and am thinning quite a bit in the front and center. I just disocvered my thinning about 4 months ago after i shaved my head and realized that the center wasnt really growing back as much.

At first i was sad. Now I am pretty much used to it. There is still enough that it is not noticeable unless i am under direct overhead light or if my hair is wet. It is still clear that it is thin. I could start minox or other anti-balding stuff but I have decided against it. I will disguise it as long as I can, then when it's no longer hideable I will shave it off Vin D. style. fortunately, I do work out and the bald look can work for me. I think if it starts bothering me alot i would try grafts, but I just dont  care so much.

So bottom line:

You may go bald
you can use finas or minox or get a rug or get plugs or get a Micro pigmentation (tattoo)
or just accept it
