Born in Knoxville, TN
They will not change gender marker on Birth Certificate and name change will have old name crossed out with new name
I was almost born in Germany my father was stationed there when I was born. My mother wanted to wait till I was born before moving there for several years. I never grew up in TN and didn't live there until I was 18 till 28 when when to college there and later worked at a software company there. I grew up in Germany, NC, NJ and NY. I currently live in NJ so getting driver's license marker is relatively pain free compared to TN. Name change is easy to get, but the state recommends using a lawyer.
Hi Sydney,
We have the same birthday, July 21! (Mine was a few years before yours but still...)
I've checked into Okla regs on birth cert. change, they require proof of SRS, so that may be a while for me yet. Oregon (where I currently live) is just now relaxing some of their requirements on various changes, maybe there's hope that Tenn and Okla won't be far behind. I got my very first DL in NJ, I couldn't do it until I turned 17. That year from 16 to 17 seemed so very long. Looking back, I'd gladly wait it out again if I could go back with all I know now!
