He called me ma'am!

I just have to share this small but amazing thing that happened today at work. I was bringing food to a table and called out their order and a man with his back to me replied "Yes Ma'am". It gave me the most incredible feeling, not only that he thought I was female just by my voice, but also just to be called by a female name. He was probably embarrassed or thought he embarrassed me, but it was actually the highlight of my day.

It feels good. I had it happen to me in a grocery checkout by a lady behind me. When I turned to look at her she realized that I was in boy mode.

It's a great feeling, especially when not trying to pass!

I felt like I would never pass, that I'd be doomed.

While moping, I went to Wal-Mart to buy some perfume hoping maybe buying that would make me feel girlier.
While aimlessly wandering someone said. "Ma'am may I help you?".

She repeated "Ma'am?" I looked at her not seeing anyone else around with a "You mean me?" face
She told me "Yes ma'am, did you need help finding anything?"

I hugged her and then asked where the perfume was, she never understood why I hugged her. Made my day.
One day, one glorious day. I will have my SRS, and then I will be forever in bliss.

That's an awesome story! The best part for me is that I haven't even started practicing my voice yet since I'm pre everything and already I passed as female just based on that. I have this newfound hope now.

I went out for the first time proper last night, and no one gave me a second look, so I'm taking that as passing   I just wish I could have more confidence in my voice like you so that I could do some of the talking ::)
