I love wearing bras.  It very much was a size thing.  Before I never wore bras, but at some point it was uncomfortable not to wear one.  I did a professional fitting as well.  My bras are very comfy.

I feel that I would be embarrassed to have a professional fitting. My face would be beet red!

i love wearing a bra... if you are really wearing the right size bra, you don't even feel like its there.

I had a professional fitting done.. and i am so glad.. as i was wearing the wrong size. my bras now fit me like a glove and are very comfortable.
Enjoying ride the hormones are giving me... finally becoming the woman I always knew I was

I'd been full time for seven years and passing consistently when I went for a fitting... I still went red.

it's awkward to have a woman I'm unattracted to touch me in such a sensitive and intimate place
Yes, exactly! Plus, I am not passable, so that would enhance the embarrassment, I believe!

today I go bra shopping , the underwire popped out of the fabric . I find the ones that latch in the front most convenient .

I converted one of my favorite bras into wireless when the wire popped out. that usually happens when bras are machine washed too much (yes I'm a naughty girl )
That happened to me too on the first wash in the machine. However it was a very cheap (£2 GBP) bra so it was kind of expected to fall apart.
Nobody's perfect ...   I'll never try,
But I promise I'm worth it, if you just open up your eyes,
I don't need a second chance, I need a friend,
Someone who's gonna stand by me right there till the end,
If you want the best of my heart, you've just gotta see the good in me.

I have that same situation and like you my once wired bra is my most comfy.  I need to become a more discerning wife when it comes to the laundry;-)

Going braless has become more special and in a baggy sweatshirt no one sees anything.  A tighter fit will reveal that my headlights are almost always ON and titilating ;)

I had the protective rubber endpiece fail and an underwire stabbed me in the boob when it popped through a few years ago, I wasn't very happy about getting impaled  :P

That bra went in the bin

Well my face did turn red.  But it was well worth it and the fitter made me feel comfortable quickly.  I had called ahead as well and explained I was transgender, which was key.

I don't like wearing a bra, but feel like I have to when I go out or to work since the gals are still growing and I feel like they are so small that any difference looks huge. I also feel like they are kind of a funny shape right now... But yeah, at home FREEDOM!!

Also I HATE the wire, so I cut all of them out upon purchase :)

I wear a bra because it's more comfortable and it makes me look better. I even wear them on 'pyjama days' sometimes because it's just more comfortable (I have a D cup, and am still growing I think).

It's always funny, when I put on the bra in the morning it's "aah, support", and then in the evening, when going to bed I take it off and it's "aah, freedom". It's just a part of having breasts I think, I like the support they give, but in the end of the day the freedom when taking it off is great too. I only wear bras with underwire that aren't preformed nowadays, as those are the ones that give the best support.

I never wore bras until I started presenting though.

@everyone that has laundry machine damage to their bras, isn't that what laundry bags are for? I always put delicates in a laundry bag.

I'm not only naughty, I'm lazy as well
I actually prefer to wear dresses not because I love them being more feminine or what, but because they're just one piece... less to hang up. lol.

Well, lazyness is a trait to be valued as well, at times ;) I just tend to trend towards optimizing comfort when I feel lazy, so that still involves putting on multiple layers to get warm, and a bra for support.

I do hate my sports bra btw, unwieldy monster that is a pain to put on... but running without it or a 'lighter' is just not feasible anymore.

For me it depends on the type of bra. I really don't like those wonder bras as they are great on a daily basis but they let my boobs bounce around too much if I need to move quickly. I do have a favourite bra though it was my first size 14 B. I bought it the day I started on hormone pills.I don't wear it often but it is really pretty and puts me in a good mood every time.

Time to revisit this for me.

I love bras. Always loved them. I wish I had bigger boobs though, but that will come in time.

Now though I have to wear at least a sports bra. Not because of the bounce but because of the nipples. Since getting on HRT my nipples have been super sensitive... and arrrrggghhh, wear a shirt and it touches and it's soooo distracting. So yeah I pretty much have to wear one all the time I'm dressed up, no matter presenting M or F I need to wear one. It gets to be a bit annoying that I have to wear one instead of just wanting to wear one (which I do).

I wear sports bra just because at the moment whatever I wear seems to fit better :P. Not sure if I ever become much of a bra person.. doh.. you need them xD, but sports bra fit just fine to me :P.

I personally feel happy when I realize I've been moving from the excitement of "omg, I'm wearing a bra!" to "Finally, I get to take off my bra!"

I challenge my fate

Yes, I do!

Like other ladies have said, proper fit is the essential.

I went shopping this morning and tried on several sizes. I needed to, since I have lost much weight in the past year. I was a 46B a year ago, now I am wearing a 42C. With continued weight loss, I may be in another size shortly.

Having breasts that are properly supported feels much better than unsupported breasts when you grow into the larger sizes.

First off, thanks Jen for this post....very interesting   :)

Now, is anyone else aware of this method?  I can't believe how unknowledgeable I was in this area, and was not familiar with the term 'cupless', (yeah I'll admit it, I googled it), and I definitely was not aware of the inframammary crease.   This just brings up a multitude of questions for me as I researched this a bit last night and found out that men as well as women have the same ligament underneath this crease.  Hmmmm
If this is indeed a proven thing, how would one decide on cup size?  How tight?  How long?   Jeez...on and on.  Anyways, this is interesting, especially to someone who is right at that point in the beginning of development.    Anyone?    Dani

I almost think this deserves a new thread in order to not get lost.

OK, I'll try once more, this just seems like something that would be very important to people here/and me.  So maybe I do need to start a thread on this.  Refer back to page 15 in order to read Jen's post.    Dani

I live in a bra, a padded bra, in fact, now three bras, since I have not yet started taking any hormones.
Be true to yourself.  The future will reveal itself in its own due time.    Find the calm at the heart of the storm.    I own my womanhood.

I am a 69-year-old transsexual school teacher grandma & lady.   Ethnically I am half Irish  and half Scandinavian.   I can be a real bitch or quite loving and caring.  I have never taken any hormones or had surgery, I am out 24/7/365.
