my bedroom is freezing cold due to a heating issue, so my mom told me to sleep on the couch which is brand new. it's shark week, i have a crazy heavy flow. is it odd that my go to was to wrap my crotch in saran wrap before sleeping on the couch. also earlier that day i bleed trough my protection boxer briefs and sweat pants and onto a leather couch i could wipe it up buy the couch Im sleeping on cant be cleaned easily . so is my jump to saran wrap crazy?

I'd just put a plastic sheet or a plastic painting drop cloth over the couch.

Get those pads used for pets and cover the couch. I have done it with my bed and still do in case of bag failure.

I have to wonder why you chose that of all things lol. Sure, it protects the couch, but it'd be...slippery because the saran wrap wouldnt absorb the flow.

That can't be healthy - your vagina is like a little ecosystem, and it needs to breathe. It sucks a lot of the time for trans guys to deal with vaginal health, but it sucks a lot more to go to the doctor for it than to just prevent problems in the first place. Try doubling up with a tampon and pad.

You may not be comfortable with your nether regions. But I had a pretty heavy flow preT and eventually learned that doubling up with an extra size tampon (idk what the hell the sizes are anymore) and a pad was the solution to all of lifes problems.

And as the person above me said, your *insert preferred word* needs to breathe. I can imagine Saran wrap just keeping bad bacteria in there. Don't hurt yourself.

Another option for added protection is to Google 'sea pearls sea sponge tampons.'  The only downside is if you're squeamish about handling your menses, as they need to be rinsed several times a day.  But they're eco-friendly, safer for your body, are more comfortable than tampons,  come in larger sizes if needed, you can cut to fit them better, you can use one sponge for several periods (about 4-6 months), and you can avoid getting on line to purchase pads/tampons at the store.  Sanitizing is easy with hydrogen peroxide and/or vinegar.

Dude that is something  you can't hide no matter how hard you try. They see the trashcans.
