A Colorado bakery owner illegally discriminated against a gay couple when he refused to make a wedding cake for the pair last year because of his Christian religious beliefs, a judge ruled Friday.

"At first blush, it may seem reasonable that a private business should be able to refuse service to anyone it chooses," [Administrative law Judge Robert] Spencer wrote in his 13-page ruling. "This view, however, fails to take into account the cost to society and the hurt caused to persons who are denied service simply because of who they are."

The right decision.

I have long since been sick of people using their faith to justify bullying.

If you want to have some fun, Google "gay cake"

I am guess you meant Google Images. I like the one with the hunky sailor's coming out of the cake.

My daughter found a wedding cake shaped as a coffin. Silly funeral directors.

Why do these customers bother with this particular baker?  On the surface, this seems to be discrimination.  They can go to another baker, that other baker can make the money.  There have been erosion of our free enterprise system which in turn allows less choice of services and products which leaves to less employment opportunities.  This case is not helping us any.

If we're to be protected from discrimination, isn't it necessary that discrimination have consequences?
