I just hate that stuff. Hate it. I've had 5 sessions & my face is clean some however I wanted to go out tonight & it just feels so wrong to have to shave/cut off hairs then put on makeup.

We are moving as fast as possible with electrolysis & I cannot wait to have a clean nice face. I'm very passable & very comfortable being a woman most anywhere however I just hate this beard stubble, how ugly & stupid.

I just need to vent some steam, so frustrating.

mtF, mid 50's, always a girl since childhood, HRT (Spiro, E & Fin.) since 8-13. Hormone levels are t at 12 & estrogen at 186. Face lift & eye lid surgery in 2014. Abdominoplasty/tummy tuck & some facial surgery May, 2015. Life is good for me. Love long nails & handsome men! Hopeful for my GRS & a nice normal depth vagina maybe by late summer. 5' 8", 180 pounds, 14 dress size, size 9.5 shoes. I'm kind of an elegant woman & like everything pink, nice & neet. Love my nails & classic Revlon Red. Moving back to Florida, so excited but so much work moving

Im pretty sure we all hate it LMAO. Im getting tired of having to shave everyday cause im to poor for electrolysis

I don't like having it, especially because I have sensitive skin and can't really get a close enough shave where my face lacks stubble (Comfortably).

But I think it can look good, stylistically speaking.

I'm with you 100%.  Two more hours of electro today and there's still more to do.   I've had 55 hours so far and 6 laser sessions and it keeps creeping back.  I still have to shave every other day.  Ugh.

I just needed to vent some, both men & women hate unwated hairs we all know that. One of my girl friends is going to school now to learn how to perform electrolysis then to open her own shop. She could not find a decent job & I suggested the career to her & she is enrolled in school.

It's the worst part of transition, hands down!

Luckily, curable given precious time :)

It is my least favorite part of the day, without question.
- Circus Girl
- MtF
- Pre-HRT (for now)

For how could I ever ask someone to love me as a woman for my body, if I can't even love my body as a woman for myself?

Not a fan of it on my face at all. 4 sessions of laser have thinned things out and made it easier to shave everyday. I used to (when in denial) keep the few days of stubble look because of sensitive skin and one trimmer being cheaper than new razors every week.
Tried a 3 week beard once and ended up super depressed to the point of not being able to look in a mirror that whole time. I have a photo of that time that I keep to remind me that no matter how down I get I could have been stuck as "him"
That being said I think a little growth looks good on guys
Byes!!!! It's been real but this place isn't for me. Good luck in the future everyone.

Don't hate it but def. don't like it, I've never had a lot of facial hair but what I do have is combination hair so they are all there to some degree

Black, brown, red, blond and white all mixed upon my upper lip and chin and neck  :P  I can't afford laser or electro so I shave once in awhile, but mostly I pluck...  pluck, pluck, pluck, pluck, pluck!!! Arrrrrrgh!!!  :icon_anger:

It's a plucking annoying daily chore  :P

I don't care for it, but it is what it is.

Oh well....

VM, Thanks, so funny. "It's a plucking annoying chore". Better to laugh some rather than cry.

I'm going to buy my own electrolysis machine to finish off my face... Until then, as per VM, plucking is soo annoying but certainly beats shaving. Actually its somewhat satisfying to rip out those horrible hairs.

plucking eyebrows for me is enough of a chore , I cant see doing that for my face , wow

It gives me anxiety too!! I've been having laser on the same areas on my face for more than a year now and the hairs still come back every six weeks, although a little less than before. Lost counting and have surpassed the BS saying "10 sessions should be enough", I still shave everyday due to paranoia. You know, it's said electrolysis is the better option but there is only one place I know of in my town and it has negative reviews detailing burned skin so I'm afraid to risk it. If you've achieved at least 80% of facial hair through laser, how long and many sessions did it take you? Maybe the equipment (she uses the popular Lightsheer Duet or something) doesn't work as well for me because isn't laser supposed to be excellent for those with pale skin and dark hair? Am I being ripped off or more time is needed?

If your hair is dark the Tria laser works very well & you can do it yourself. If light hair only electro works, normally.

I've had 9 laser sessions on face 2 on chest and 1 on arms, the hair is all still their except on the face. Arms and chest are very light but if I went unshaven for a month I am sure it would be noticeable...though they are much finer. I have had many hours of electro on my face, with more on the upper lip and chin.....ITS STILL THERE!! I'm hoping 2 more on upper lip will do the trick...this is after at least 6 sessions.

I was not even overly hairy to begin with....I have to laugh at some that have 3-4 laser sessions and say "well I'm all clear of hair now" while this may be true....just wait 6-7 weeks...it will look like you did nothing. The same goes for electro, when I have my upper lip done I am clear for at least a week...then some little buggers show up again. Electro is permanent but one has to remember its only permanent for the ones that have already grown out!

I hated it lots. I'm pretty sure that I hated electro more until it was over though.

No even if you are a good candidate it will not remove all hair...even after 20 -30 sessions...and it's supposedly not permanent!

I am also very paranoid and still run a razor over my face everyday while in the shower...I know I could go at least a week but there are some light ones that I can feel but no one can see.

I have had a first hand experience of knowing my face is smooth....I have had some intimate contact that has proved my skin is in good shape....he actually caressed my face very softly many times!

Me! It is my longest lasting and most troublesome dysphoria. Seven years before I self diagnosed as possible TS, I was 13.at the time my cousin made a comment about how nice and dark my mustache was coming in, as a compliment, I was horrified, and started shaving within the week. Unfortunately to this day I'm still battling my mustache, but I am slowly getting the upper hand via electrolysis.
