Not transitioning is a huge mistake- not only does it affect your body in negative ways but it can affect those around you as well. If you truly are transgender, the feelings will never go away because your gender truly is opposite of your sex. you can deny it and cover it up, but eventually it will become impossible to hide it anymore. I've seen it so many times with older transwomen and men, and its so sad for everyone involved.
