My problem is.......my big flipping HEAD!

I've got a big old head.  It sucks! There's no surgery for that.  I was once told by a doctor that I had a large head.  He even pulled out his friggin measuring tape!!  Estrogen won't make it smaller.  In fact, its more noticeable in girl clothes.  Its like..."hey I'm used to women having tiny lil peanuts for heads and you have a watermelon.  What the flippin heck??"   :eusa_boohoo:

Does anyone else have this issue??  What the heck can you do??  Wear big hair to compensate????

I hate it!

Let's give it up for big heads! I used to always get teased for my big head and I love my big head :)

I have a big head too!  As you say, there's nothing you can do about it :)
Only a dark cocoon before I get my gorgeous wings and fly away
Only a phase, these dark cafe days

You are so funny , I love your optimism and your style , it always gets me in a better mood .

And , yes , I have a big head too , it is partially genetic , many of my relatives have big heads , but also , compared to other girls is bigger because I am almost 5'11" tall and also experienced the male puberty .
But I think that long hair helps a lot , at least in my case it makes me feel ok when I have volume in hairstyle . It is clearly better than when I have my hair in a ponytail or something , and the shape and size of my head become much more visible .
Also I hope FFS will help a little , removing some mm from chin and jaw , some from my nose , some from my eyebrows area , overall it will give the illusion of a better proportioned/smaller head , and unless a cute little girl sits near me , I guess my head won't look as big .

Lara, it is a nearly universal curse of being a woman to dislike some aspect of one's looks. Nearly every woman has something about her that they can't stand to see in the mirror.

Embrace it. Being a woman is so wonderful that, for me at least, the good far outweighs the bad. But just as our quest for beauty in ourselves and for the world is one of our strongest points, self-criticism is one of our weakest.

All part of girlhood, dear.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Thank you.  I try to stay optimistic.  This road we walk on can be long and dark and if we are not careful can swallow us whole.  I'm looking forward to longer hair to hide the massive asteroid that sits on my neck.  Okay, its not THAT big but you get the idea.  I've also been looking at FFS as a possible solution. In reality Ill probably be whining about something even after all that. lol

If a cute girl sits near me I hope its you! Ill bring cookies!  ;)

Golly I never realized this aspect of being a woman was so powerful.  What a pain in the butt!  I can't even walk out of the grocery store because I'll see my own reflection in the glass doors.  I mean, I'm not sure if hormones are making my dysphoria better or worst.  Still, you are so right.  Being a woman DOES outweigh all that.

Thank you so much for reminding me.

My hat size is 8.  I have never once worried about it.  A big brain needs a big vault. BFD.

Well this is a new one! But I agree I also have what you call a "BIG Head" Lol being I'm 5'11 its kinda hard not to have one ;) but I found with my long thick hair I give it a nice side part with my hair curled it makes my watermelon look smaller :)

Yeah size 8?  And you have no issues about it?  Sheesh, maybe I'm just worrying about it too much.  I don't even know my hat size. lol

Yeah I'm 5'9, guess its just a given.  It seems that I just need to let my hair grow out.  I can't friggin wait and my watermelon can't wait either!  8)

So much to look forward to!

  •

Adria

Lol no prob Hun wish I could figure out how to get a pic up since I'm using my phone Lol but something a friend told me once that always stuck with me was that the flaws we focus on ourselves are the things no one else notices Lol something to think about :D

A big head is a typical MTF trait....but making it appear even bigger with a big hairdo/too full wig and cheekimplants and augmented lips...is a reality disorder.

FFS to reduce a forehead, jaw and chin thus making your face look smaller , sure.

BUT a reduced forehead emphasises your jaw and chin, a smaller nose emphasises the width/size of your (already) big face and cheekimplants.....look ridiculous, making a big face look even bigger and out of proportion.

Plus: cheekimplants make a face look harsh/older, even a ciswoman's face.

Ciswomen who had (way) too much plastic surgery almost always look like transsexuals...but having a small head :-)

If this worked my pic should be up and noe you can see my watermelon head Haha ;)

It don't look like you have a big head to me.

Sir Wafflinton

I can't really comment on this in the way you want, but I just wanted to put a reminder out there. I am 5'10 with a massive head and I am ftm. I know it helps me now, but I think it is worth noting that not all people who went through female puberty are petite. If you pass well enough in other areas I'm sure nobody even notices.
