So, the wall colors in my room are atrocious... I'm pretty sure the color is named "Urinary Tract Infection Yellow"... Gross... And since I lost my job last week I've now got plenty of free time, so today I decided to do some repainting.

Went down to Home Depot, picked out a pretty new color, and went to the paint counter to ask the guy to make it up for me. He did. While we were waiting for it to mix I found myself checking him out. He's super cute. And, after the paint finished he says to me "Is there anything else I can do for you today, ma'am?"

Now, I've been called ma'am before, but, there's always that "ooops, uh, sorry..." moment afterwards when they think they've made a mistake. This time that didn't happen.

I had this Scrubs fantasy moment where I climbed over the counter, tackled him, and gave him a great big kiss. But instead I just smiled and walked up to the register to pay for it.

The cashier said "Did you find everything okay, ma'am?" Again, no "oops" moment.

I ducking love that store!

I ended up sitting in my car giggling hysterically until I was crying I was so happy!

And, I figured, "Y'know what. Today's a good day!" So I went to my former workplace to get my final paycheck. I was not out there, nor did I ever figure I'd step back in that building after going full time. But, today I did. Ended up actually speaking to the two managers who terminated me. The conversation went on for about five minutes before they finally asked me for my name. I told them, and one of them said "Oh! I didn't recognize you with your..........." and then he eyed me up and down "............ red hair."

I had to bite my tongue to keep from erupting into laughter. I also walked right past one of my former coworkers, who didn't recognize me at all.

What a difference a week makes!  ;D

that must of been a great feeling

It's really the biggest self esteem boost I've had in a very long while.  ;D

I'm actually considering applying to work at that store.  ;D Cause I sure did love being called ma'am!

Two Bodies/Same Soul

That must have made you so happy! Ahh what i wouldn't give to be able to look like a woman and be called ma'm.

I am so lucky to be where I am! :)

Awww, so happy for you! I was traveling with another blonde friend yesterday and we were sitting together on the bus. The conductor as he was taking our ticket said, "You brought out the sun. You're the sunshine girls!" As much of a feminist as I am, there's a part of me that still smiles when I'm grouped with other women, especially one as wonderful as my friend.

*giggles* I'm pretty sure if someone said that to me, they'd get a hug!   :-*

Omg, that's awesome!
I got mine the other morning at Wally world.
I was just walking in the water isle, and this nice lady asked
"How are you doing today ma'am?"
I was sooooooo happy.

And I got to go in the lady's side of the dressing room too!

Made me feel so good.
