Supplemental Insurance Option?

I've been wondering if there are any supplemental insurance option that would cover surgery? I realize that if it exists that it might be expensive and not possible to use right away but those things would be ok with me if I could get them. Also I have a health plan through work but it's not all that great and definitely doesn't cover surgery.
