I have been working on my make up a little ....

here is me trying to smile, but I think I failed badly at it.

I never got any problems in girl mode, but i don't know if I pass or people are being nice to me. Like people really don't look at me, but at the same time I wish guys would give me attention, but they almost never seem to.

I see your point Dee very much so. Though it may not be possible, I'd love to use a word/term for these discussions that doesn't sound so much like we passed a test, etc. I've no doubt you understand what I'm getting at. I very much enjoy reading these threads and looking at before and after photo's. Everyone here inspires me as I undertake the same wonderful experience. I just hate that it sound so much like a contest, that's all.

I absolutely agree. I just think we need a shorter word. How about "pinged"? When a tuning fork is near a sound close to it's own pitch it rings in sympathy. When we properly express our true gender other people do the same.

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

In your pictures you look to me like a woman, a woman who has trouble smiling, but a woman. Next time you want a smiling picture imagine something that makes you happy, let the smile come on it's own and take the picture. Bet it comes out better. You're a pretty girl, after all!

ETA: sky biometry sez %5 female, FWIW. seems like a neat site.

https://www.skybiometry.com/

Hey that site is pretty cool! I tried a few pictures of myself I had on my computer to test it out. One read 30% male, one read 30% female, and one read male... by 1%. >:( Lol, apparently even the machines think I look androgynous. ::)

I think that site is broken because it gendered me as female with a high percentage it broke on the other stuff.

This seems like a neat site. Determines facial features and shows how much male/female:

Here's another great site for face analysis: http://www.pictriev.com/ which I actually like a little better because there isn't so much involved to use it -basically, you don't have to join anything.

I notice on either site if I run a photo of myself at about 1 and a half months hrt I get mixed results between male and female, however, when I run a photo taken two days ago I get only female results. And here's the thing, I hadn't noticed the change. Go figure, lol! :icon_flower:

When I tried a recent picture of myself on that site, I got 70% feminine and 30% masculine... but all the lookalikes were teenage boys. >:( I think I'm done with face analysis sites for now. ;)

You do have a good point. While my lookalikes were a mixture of both women and some men about the best these sites can do for us is maybe if we use them once every 3 months or so during our transformations/hrt to show us the changes in our faces we haven't noticed.

I guess... With my face the biggest problems I have are structural (chin and nose are too big), and HRT can only help so much with those kinds of things. I think I'm actually doing as well as could be expected, considering what I have to work with. My face will probably be stuck in androgynous zone until I can get a few things corrected, but there are worse things than being androgynous.

For what it's worth, I think you pass easily in those photos.  Can't say I can speak outside of these pic, but I'm not seeing anything too problematic.  And I know how you feel about smiling.  I have no idea how to smile either.  I feel so self conscious about myself as happiness is not something I was taught to express, lol.  I don't get that emotion all that well.  In any case, you look passable from what I can tell. :)

I just had a great time feeding their engine my Virtual FFS (link below) photos and see it get confused, then when I gave it my profile photo in correctly gendered me as female so I guess I can't complain.

Thank you so much for sharing your vFFS photos. You're gonna be gorgeous, hon.

Your welcome, I'm transitioning openly and I'm trying to help others as much as I can, the virtual FFS thing was kind of an accident, sent a question to a surgeon to enquire if they had a problem with me being a Type 1 diabetic but they didn't want to answer without a consult, ohh sales tactics. Figured I needed to know a little something before the consult so I read up and had my Virtual FFS done to get a 3rd party opinion. I'm not considering anything for the next year but it never hurts to know your options.

I also put the whole thing on my introduction thread with animated pictures and the write-up.

Thanks for the compliment, I much prefer photos with makeup like my profile photo but for accurate results nothing beats brutal truth.

Lol.  Yeah, if only masks were part of everyday attire.  Then again, I'd probably lose faith in humanity if that happened.  ;)

Growing out your hair is one of the best things you can do early on.  How you style your hair makes a huge deal.  With some brow work, laser, and hrt, I think you have potential to look more female.
