Oh, I know what You mean - I can still pack a punch, if desperately needed, but if I could avoid getting into hand-to-hand with an adult male, I would do so without hesitation. I asked bmf to give an example of "treatment" and I was quite shocked to realise how weak I was in comparison. My agility, overall coordination and reflexes have increased though :)
Where do you live Emily that is that dangerous that you have to worry so much? If I lived in an area that bad where I had to worry about being attacked whenever I go out I'd be packing one of my handguns, and trying to move into a better area.

I'm a daily bike commuter and I tuck every day and wear form fitting female attire all day (even light colours).

For me a good comfortable gaff with a pair of Secret tummy shaping panties does the trick perfectly, in fact I have never had anything slip and it's very comfortable, I can't speak for everyone and all our bodies are different but those are my two cents :)

Thank You, Allyda and riversong, for honest feedback :). I am kinda leaning towards idea that - at least for the time being - that niche of athletic/masculine woman would be the most comfortable one. It does explain bulk and other features, plus keeps less nice people at distance ;). I am a bit hesitant about female shorts for running, because they are very form-fitting as a rule and I dont tuck (being a daily bike commuter, this would not be pleasant experience). Plus, I would not dare to jog around midnight in shorts showing off my legs :) - so at least for now i could consider being safe on streets :).

So, 4 1/2 months in to HRT and I haven't seen any outward physical changes from it yet. Despite that, I think I've mentally been in a good place. I'm certainly a lot happier just being on HRT.

Anyway, thought I'd try out an everyday look:
Light makeup (except for the eyes), no padding, no wig, just me.

Either you don't notice because it happens slowly or you you had a very fem face before, in any case I don't think anyone will be misgendering you with those features.

Thanks Antonia, probably just my face. I haven't seen much HRT affected changes in it. Just longer hair, less stubble from electrolysis, and plucked eyebrows. For reference, below is a pic of my face a little over a year ago, months before I started HRT:

Granted, my femme pictures have optimal lighting and angles, and of course the makeup and wig in that picture from last year went a long way. Here's what I looked like in male mode just a few short hours before that last pic:

My male mode now is getting kinda androgynous, but still male to me:

@Juliett:

You look pretty happy in this one :)

What's with the windswept hair? Are we now in the dramatic pictures thread?

J/K You look great, just teasing you a little. With that pose I couldn't resist :D

You pass and you look great doing it!

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

Of course the femme photo is fabulous, but this one here says a lot as opposed to the straight guy photo. You are showing some real feminized facial changes under the influence of HRT and that beautiful smile tells it all. It takes some time for HRT to work it's changes, four months is just barely a start. Try to remind yourself to stop creasing your forehead, otherwise you'll be a regular Botox user before your time. My money is on the idea that we will be seeing you in the you look fabulous thread eventually.

I'd definitely say your features have softened, cheeks filled out, etc. Your "Male" mode is still there but I'd say barely, another couple of months and you won't be able to pull that off!

Ok, I think my post ended up at the bottom of the page so it didn't really get noticed. Hate to seem like I'm spamming, but I'm thinking of going full time soon and could use some advice :)

Not sure what type of advice to give. You have very smooth skin with no blemishes that I can see. The bone structure in your cheeks and around your eyes looks pretty feminine, and you have great lips, very luscious. Honestly, the only thing I would suggest is maybe expressing the girl you are more. With some of those pictures you are standing in a way or have gestures or expressions that feel typically male to me.

As for the last one, your expression makes you look almost uncomfortable or doubting of what you are looking at--which would be yourself since it's a selfie. Perhaps that is what is killing your passability in that pic.

Just believe you are the beautiful girl that are, then show it, act how she would naturally act. Your inner beauty will come out that way and will make a huge difference in how you are perceived.

Thanks Shan, the number 11 lines aren't going away without a brow lift I'm afraid. I've had them for years and even with my face completely relaxed they are there. Maybe botox will help, but it's only temporary. Best to take care of it when I get FFS.

I'm a fan of photography ^-^
I have 0 pictures from the first 26 years of my life and a few thousand from the last 3.
I've been on HRT and full time for 3 years. I'm still scared of make up, somehow I feel it will make me fake.

Thank you so much for the advice! I guess I do need to work on my mannerisms and posture a bit. I just need a bit more confidence in myself as a woman.

I'll be starting hormones next month (which Im sooooo happy about!), so maybe being on hormones will make me feel a little better :)

Congrats! And yeah, they make a huge difference in how you feel. I'm sure being on HRT will help out tremendously. ;)

You're going to girl-out like crazy with your features river. You have no worries.

Alaia you look very sweet kind of like girl next door sweet, if you get what I mean. FYI my facial changes were just beginning at around the 4 and a half month mark -right where you are now. Just give it time girl your face will soften up.

Angelique your looking fabulous as always. If I only looked half as good as you I'd be more than happy.

Thanks Allyda, that's really kind of you to say and nice to hear. TBH though, when I was talking about not seeing physical HRT changes, it wasn't my face that was bothering me. More that I've had zero changes with the girls, no soreness, nothing. A part of me worries that I'm too old to see any changes there considering how often I read about other girls feeling soreness 1-2 months in.

Hah, thanks Stephanie. I may be absent minded at times, but I'll never forget the day I started HRT :)
