Thanks Cristy.
I'm 28. I don't take T blockers because I can't stand the idea of loosing my sex drive. Sex is really healthy and I want to be able to enjoy it without frustration. The estrogen alone already brought it down a bit so I won't even get close to T-blockers. Besides, even tough I identify as female, I have no problems with my male genitalia.

Yeah I don't know if I want srs yet, it depends on if I am single or not. I do think I want t blockers and e to get the most results, or maybe cycle t blockers, atleast stop them for a week every other month. Ive heard of people still being able to function on t blockers, they say it just takes more effort. Which is fine by me more effort means more fun, lol. but I have a friend that takes premarin, and woo howdy, that stuff is potent, so I think that what I want to take to. I know the safety and hazards but ive seen really good results from premarin. So as I progress there will be more pics.

Que??? Why so distraught? You are looking really good, your young, I know it's easy to get down especially us trans peoples, but don't frown, there always a good side, and bad things don't last forever!
I hop you feel less vaclempt after this, muah

By the way, very cool hair (wig?). I've been contemplating getting something since my hair is a slowly growing and receding disaster. I've always loved really long hair, and deep red which would actually complement my complexion. I had long hair as a teenager, but since it was a huge goth phrase for me I dyed it black. Thinking back on it, black was a very bad choice. Then when I was 19 I cut it all off. *smacks self in face* Stupid, stupid me!

I grew my hair to about the same length I have it now and it was so that I could start my transition like 1-2 years ago. then I went into a denial phase and pretended to be the average straight cis-guy again and cut it off. I wanted to cry after I got it cut. it only takes a little bit to get your hair long enough for more feminine hairstyles though.

This is sort of what I'm going for initially. My hairline recedes, so it needs to be something I can brush forward.

I think this would look fantastic on you! it would really help you look more feminine and it wouldn't take much time to get that long.

I hope! The only thing that concerns me is that a cut like that isn't really good for someone with a big nose, but I'll wear a beanie most of the time, anyway. It'll just be nice to have hair that I don't always have to keep hidden. Stupid DHT.

You'd be surprised the kind of results are possible when your features tend to be more dominantly masculine. One thing that's always important is to get yourself in some kind of shape and lose as much weight as you can. Once you're on HRT then you can start gaining it back and it'll all go where it's supposed to. Your hairline doesn't recede like mine does, so that's a huge plus, as you won't have to worry about that ever. The HRT does some amazing things, but it's only part of the journey. As your skin softens your pores will minimize, and muscle and fat will start to shift around. But ultimately, HRT is about your peace of mind. Passing is certainly an important goal, but it's not the reason for the season. Personally, I think you'll have satisfactory results, with or without makeup. I'm 33 and still haven't started, and I worry, as well. I've had some wonderful compliments here that are very encouraging, but a raw and unedited picture of me shows my age a little more, so I don't post those. I think there's one floating around, but that's it. Anyway, stay positive and don't fret. You're going to look great! :)

I am well aware that I look very MAN right now. But I also think that I've got potential.

Your face seems very feminine from your avatar. I'd love to see where you've come from!

I'm rather notorious for not filtering my words so I end up saying things that don't come out right, but I'm immensely encouraging (at least I think so). I certainly mean well. Don't hate me! :embarrassed:

Here's a pic of me from last year, unshaven and not looking terribly happy:

TheQuestion

I just put up a new avatar pic.  The old one was a little too dark and this one you can see my face better.  I'm 26, no HRT yet.  I shaved, put make-up on, and threw on a wig as well.  I have to admit, my skin is pretty flawless.  I went on Accutane a couple years ago.  It was rough, but worth it IMO.  I still have most of my hair and will add that it is the exact same color as the wig.  I have a little bit of thinning, but with hrt I'm not too concerned.  If it stops here and, god forbid, thickens back up a bit I'll be in good shape.  My natural hairline has receded a bit, but not too much and it's just a itsy bit higher than that wig line.  Judge me!!!  Be honest.  I'm not sure if I want to start HRT or not and I'm trying to gauge whether I have any chance.  I'm trying to decide within the next month and a half or so.  Do I look like I could pass, from the neck up at least?

Sooner or later I'll post a full body.  I'm like 160lbs right now.  I'm dropping to 130 over the next month or two before HRT.  I'll post when I'm emaciated.  I have a long way to go.  I'm estimating 3 years before I'm near fully transitioned.  If I could figure out how to up-load a pic aside from an avatar then I'd post a pic with my natural hair.  For what it's worth; I'm going to have FFS and a hair transplant to thicken everything back up.  Then I'm growing it and getting it styled.  I'm hoping to have the same hair then, just being real hair, or I'll just keep a medium length page-boy cut (still getting a hair transplant) and occasionally go with a wig...

Aus76, I think you may very well have some potential.  You don't look too tall, not that being tall is necessarily a negative, and you may find that you have a small frame once you drop a little bit of weight (not that you're massive) and go on HRT.  It also looks like you have enough hair to work with, or you could, and seem to have enough for a hair transplant if you feel it necessarily.  You also aren't made of pure muscle like myself and that should go a long way in terms of body softening.  Plus, your face doesn't look THAT masculine.

Yeah, that definitely wasn't what I was trying to say. Just making a general remark, because I understand self-consciousness quite well. We all need reassurance. I just apparently have a dodgy way of going about it. :/

Hell, I don't even think a transplant is necessary. Aus76 is primed for results. I have height working against me, and a receding hairline. And despite what anyone says, my face is just weird. The pics I post here are highly edited.
