Continuing from what James said, I'm not sure if that cute cut that ze posted would work for you. It seems you're thinning up top and it would be a hot mess if you did that. I wish I had something constructive to say, but the only thing I can think of is you need to grow out the back and continue to get everything evened out all over. If you are in fact thinning up top, you have no real choice but to grow it out and style it all backwards unless you can get a hairpiece.
And James, between you and I (and everybody reading this, obviously), every time I read "I'm thinking of getting a pixie cut" as some sort of andro - transition solution, I want to barf. Pixie cuts are actually hard to cut to make look good on cis women, let alone trans women. And don't kid yourself, if some pretty, cis women look a bit masculine in a haircut, most of us are going to look downright manly in them. So I'm making this public service announcement while I'm ranting: If you're thinking of getting some cute celebrity inspired pixie, DON'T!!! Chances are, you'll just get somebodies interpretation of that hair cut and it'll look like a disaster that will set you back months from being able to pass.
Sorry if I'm aggressive, but one of my biggest pet peeves are pixie / short cuts and the trans communities fixation towards them as if they're some sort of all encompassing, best of both world situation. I wish we could stop being so afraid of growing hair to about shoulder length and learning to style it when we want to be cute.
