My mom was just going off about how different my sister and I are. The incident that sparked this rant is that she found out that my sister is sneaking thongs. Little does she know that I've been sneaking boxers. Not sure which she'd be more upset about. But when they say we aren't alike, they have no idea. XD

Honestly, one of the worst things anybody could ever tell me would be that I remind them of my brother. I'm nothing like him at all, thankfully. Growing up, he was the macho cool guy jock, while I was the sensitive, creative kid. These days, I have a wonderful and fulfilling life full of great people and tons of engaging interests. My brother, on the other hand, grew into one of the most boring people I've ever known.

Anyway, I'm not sure your mother meant it that way (and if she did, it was in your favor), but it's always hurtful when parents compare their children. If only they knew the potential harm they could be causing.

Sneak those boxers. Sneak them with pride, PA.

Cheers,
Teg

the way i think is comparing others to others is pointless cause not everyone is the same.
Be you and let others be themselves.

Li, you're right. It's useless to compare one to another because everyone is different. My sisters and I are all way different.

Kim, I am kind of known as "the good child" in my family so my sisters get annoyed when my mom asks why they can't be like me. Trust me, it's annoying for me, too. Just be you 'cause you're awesome.

Tegan, I don't think she meant it in a harmful way, but she doesn't know how right she is lol she found my boxers today in the wash (v.v) I fell asleep when they were in the dryer haha but thank god she just assumed they were my brother's and I just snuck them back from his pile XD

Amanda, exactly ;) she should be happy then haha
