I am one of those who has felt violated.  Lying about the avatar picture is one thing, but I have also read some "experiences" lately that don't exactly add up either.  I feel like I have wasted considerable time and effort in some attempts to be helpful.  I never really thought of this place as crawling with trolls or pathological liars until lately, and now, unfortunately, I have had to pull out a few extra grains of salt.

I am 100% for real and I don't have to worry about keeping my story straight, because what I tell is the straight story.  I'm guessing you all know that by now. 

And yes, that supermodel in my avatar pics is actually me.

I don't post much but i just wanted to come out of hiding to reassure you that whilst an original poster may be spinning you a yarn and yanking your chain with a story its not to say that there are not others out there like me reading your truthful responses and benefiting from them, so all is not lost and your time not wasted even if an OP isn't the one benefiting.

Whilst I'm here in the limelight I will also thank all the regular posters for their answers to questions i haven't even asked.

PS, Yes the pic is of me, well for the split second it took the camera to capture the image, if only the wind had changed at the same moment or was that information about getting stuck like that an old wives tale as well.

This thread makes me want to watch old episodes of Catfish. I love that show, but I also find it disturbing and sad at times. I love the happy endings though. Hopefully there are a lot more happy ending types here on Susan's than there are totally fake types. I tend to have too much faith in people though.

Yeah... it's hard because some people end up fooling themselves too. I mean, there's a lot of pressure to know who you are.

all i know is that, i just started coming clean about the real me though i still do have reserves but as far as i can tell, everyone here has been honest sometimes to the point of brutality but i rather the brutal truth than the sugarcoated lies i always get
