my final decision

so after mulling around and back and forths and a helluva lot of headaches and other crap, i've finally come to a decision. i'm keeping my current appointment but i'm going to have a long discussion with my psychiatrist on what he thinks i should do. if he tells me that i may not be ready as of yet and talk with my therapist, i'm going to cancel my HRT appointment and wait until next month after i have spoken with my therapist. honestly, after everything, i really dont think i'm ready as of yet emotionally speaking but if my psychiatrist says and literally hands me a letter stating i'm ready or i should go on hormones and just ride out and see if i stabilize, i'm going to take that and go forth. does this sound like a good plan or am i still over thinking things? even though i got my GID diagnoses, and permission from my therapist, i'm just not entirely sure i'm ready unless i get permission from my psychiatrist

I don't think that is a final decision. That sounds like an "I'm going to talk to my therapist and see first" decision. Which is fine.

My therapist made me have an apt with my Endo before I started HRT so I would be aware of everything and also be checked out for any physical problems. But your therapist isn't likely to hand you a letter and say good luck if you're not ready and your endo won't prescribe anything without clearance from your therapist.

idk, it was really weird. i did see an endo before i got my letter but she said i need high dosages so i need to go see an OB/GYN. i'm asking my psychiatrist because i need to get evaluated for mental stability.

This doesn't make sense at all. An Endo who is not competent enough to give high dose HRT? Uh, that is their specialty. So you are saying that you are going from no HRT straight to high dose HRT, uh, no.

that was my doctor told me. i had to have him call her to see if i can get in but she said i needed to start high dose so said i needed an OBG thus my doctor wrote me my referral and sent me on my way.

I am really trying to understand this. Here is how I see what you are writing.
1. A Therapist gave you a letter for HRT to take to an Endocrinologist.
2. An Endocrinologist sent you to a Gynecologist to be put on HIGH dose of HRT without even seeing if your body can handle low doses.
3. No blood work was done to see where you are even at before making this decision to send you to a Gynecologist.
4. Now you don't want to go to the Gynecologist office, but to a Psychiatrist for a second opinion of HRT.
5. You have been talking about HRT and the fact you could not wait to get it, but now want more confirmation.

I am sorry, but I can only see two scenarios based on these facts you have posted in this and earlier topics.
#1. Your doctors are terribly incompetent and are just pawning you off on others.

If I am wrong about any facts you have presented please correct me. This is very complicated to follow with all the different post's you make. Maybe I am missing a part of the puzzle piece somewhere. This is very confusing to me.

i have blood work done since april, i was being stubborn but i realized i rather not destroy myself so i'm taking your advice and slowing way down and really getting advice from my medical professionals because honestly, i'm to stressed out as it is, i dont know if my endo is incompetent and really its frustrating but there's nothing i can do about it except just keep trying and wait it out, i went to see my endo before i got my letter and she said come back with an eval done and your letter but told my doctor to tell me i need to see an OBG. really, i'm just as confused as you are but rest assured this isnt fiction. fiction would be me saying that my psychiatrist said he put me on until i see my OBG or my GP said she put me on (i said he before because my actually GP was on maturnity leave but should be back in the office by now. the doctor i was seeing was her fill in) that fiction. but i can see why you think that because me, the stubborn one, just now decided to take your advice lol
