So, I think I MAY have damaged my ribcage from binding--or something...
I've been wearing my binder less and less prior to the pain to prevent that.
I wear sport bras instead when I feel that I worn them for too long.
But within the past month, I've been getting sudden increase of heart beats,
dull/sharp chest pains,shortness of breath.

But....then again, I know my family has a history of heart issues/ respiratory issues
and I wouldn't know if that could be the case.
It sucks because I dont have insurance to get checked out.
I also took DHEA at one point for a total of 2 months.....
Just leaving every info out there to see what couple be a lead to pacify the pain.
It's okay.

If you don't want to rack up a whole lot of medical bills you can try finding a low income clinic in your area to get checked out. That's what I did when I got sick a few years ago. Now my dad put me on his insurance since I had 3 trips to the ER in 4 1/2 years. I think I paid like $65 and it covered bloodwork, ekg, physical and a referral to a therapist. I had anxiety issues before and have since been able to deal with them and now know how to cope.

I suggest popping over to your PCP or, like nikkie said, a low income or free clinic, if you have any in your area. It might just be a pulled muscle or something innocuous, but it could also be serious. Do you have any bruising or redness in the area the pain is in?
I know medical bills are expensive, but if you have a family history of heart issues, it's better safe than sorry; ESPECIALLY if you've done any damage. Most hospitals are willing to work with you on payment plans for your bills. I know it sucks, but if you've fractured a rib or seriously screwed up a muscle in your chest, it's better know about it and get a diagnosis than to be in the dark and risk doing more harm, making it even more expensive down the road.
The more I know, the more I know I don't know.

Paramedic here now. Chest pain, shortness of breath, sudden profuse sweating, pain radiating to either the jaw or left or right arm is serious. Unless you have a history of anxiety or panic attacks BE SEEN SOMEWHERE! Especially with a family history of cardiac/respiratory issue's. If it happens again take a regular aspirin before calling 911 or attempting to drive to the E.R. (which I do not advise). Pain of this type is NOT something to play with or delay being seen for.  :)

I can't say for certain if this is caused by binding or not, but as someone who has experienced injury from binding, I really strongly suggest you wear only the sports bras for a while. I can only wear them now. I once tried not binding for a few months and then binding again and the same day it brought the pain back all over again even though it was only for a few hours.

If it is from binding it'll probably go away after about a week of not compressing your chest much.

Well it seems to be from the chest binding.
I'm currently looking for insurance or something now, i bumped into someone who
works with medicare.I'll see how that goes.
And thank you all.
It's okay.
