Hi! ^.^ I'm Rachel. I'm new to Susan's Place! I've been in transition for two years up until 4 months ago. Lost my home, lost my doctor, lost my hormones and couldn't find a job. I de-transitioned to find work ( I've never felt lower than this point having to do that ) but will be continuing my transition when my 90 day eval period is up. I need information in the North and East Dallas areas to find a new therapist and a new doctor willing to prescribe HRT medications. I would also welcome any advice and helpful tips.

Thank you for your time,
Rachel "Cheshire" Hilliard

Rachel

Welcome to Susans.  Many of us have had a similar experience and I suspect that some of us live in Dallas so I hope that we can help with the information you need.  In the meantime it is great to have you on board, there are  plenty of great folk to listen, support and to share their experience and perspective.   There are also endless threads and posts which are a mine of useful information.

Safe travels

A big warm welcome to the family Rachel! :) Sounds like you have had some tough going lately. You now have us to come to when you are down and need someone or to post about the good that happens as well. Sorry I can't help you out with HRT doctors as I am North of the Red River. (Go pokes)  :)

HI Rachel!  I just joined as well.  I'm not in the Dallas area but I'm in the midwest.  I start HRT this week.  I'm very excited.  I can understand how terrible it must be to have to de-transition (terrible word).  I just got the word out to all my co-workers and boss.  They are all OK with it.  However, work is slow and I'm a bit nervous about that.  I would hate to have to start all over again in the middle of just starting to transition.  Anyway, I hope all goes well for you! - Cara

Thank you all for the warm welcomes. I can't wait to get back to being myself, unfortunately being one of the only two people working in a family of 8 has put a severe damper on my pocketbook and my spirit. I'd been without work for two years. I de-transitioned and in one month found a job.
