Transitioning at 18/19

Hello, I'm 18 and am considering transitioning asap. My worry is if it is too late to start now although I have a very small skinny build at about 5'10.5" height.

Welcome to Susan's Great to have you here - looking forward to seeing you around the forum.

18 isn't too late to start. Plenty who were older (even much much older) have had good results on HRT. Have you been talking with a counsellor who can recommend you to an endocrinologist? That is usually the route most take - the endo will make sure you are on an appropriate dose for your body, it may be low for the first month or so but it will let your body safely adapt to change, after that it should be full steam ahead! Skinny is better than being overweight, HRT will usually take care of that anyway.

Hi, and welcome!

It's definitely not too late for you at all. You're actually still very young compared to many others who are transitioning so you're lucky in that you have age on your side. I'm almost your age too and hope to start hrt as soon as I turn 18. Good luck!

Oh Lovey - of course it isn't too late!  I started at 19 (with a similar build to yours) and I I've enjoyed an amazing life.

You are not too late to transition by any means. Many people successfully transition much later in life but the earlier you do the better your chances are.

You are so lucky to be starting at your age OMG what I would only give to be 10 years younger your age and the current changes informed consent etc.
