Long time, no post. I split up with a girl recently, and have thus been concentrated on work. Not sure why I've mentioned that... anyway.
Important question: Is there a tipping point upon which the ratio of rising estrogen to declining testosterone becomes beneficial to the body and therefore yeilds positive effects? An observation: On male hairloss forums, many posts make a point that biological males whose estrogen levels are higher than their testosterone levels tend to develop health defects such as increased abdominal fat, brain fog, balding etc, with medical studies suggestingg the same thing. So if that's the case, then how come on these forums, rising estrogen and its effects are seen as a good thing for the body? Why is it that a MAAB who takes estrogen begins to turn them a healthy female, yet a cisonormative male on estrogen would just turn into a unhealthy prematurely elderly man?
(P.S Of course I do understand why taking estrogen is seen as good thing on an MTF forum, and why rising estrogen for a cis-normative male would be seen as a bad thing.) The point I'm trying to make is - if estrogn causes increased abdominal fat, etc, then how come hardly anyone reports this on these forums? From a purely biological point of view, How come that cisnormative males seem to gain only health isues from estrogen, yet transsexuals seem to gain actual positive feminisation?
For instance, if I were to take estrogen now - would/could that result in my simply becoming a prematurely old man or instead my slowly becoming a healthy transwoman? Where is the tipping point that decides whether you're a male hitting the andropause or a healthy transwoman? Example:
Cismnormative male with increasing estrogen: Transgender transsexual with increasing estrogen:
> Develops flabby moobs >Develops actual breast tissue with firmness that grows like breasts
> Looses scalp hair >Usually a halting of MPB to some degree
> Gains abdominal fat >Gains fat primarily in the lower body as opposed to stomach.
Why the difference in effect? Surely biology can't tell whether the person is cisnormative or transgender, and then tailor the effects accordingly? HRT therapy doesn't make any sense.
