Hey everyone! Yesterday I had my first shot of testosterone and I am very excited about it but i noticed after taking a nap shortly following my shot that I felt really sick (cold sweats, nausea, stomach ache, ect) and still do today. It feels like I have a bug. Is this normal? Should I expect it after my next few shots too?

That wasn't my experience and I don't remember any others like that. Maybe you just got the flu coinciding with your shot. You will likely find it beneficial to be active for a bit after getting your shot.

like Kat says that wasn't my experience and haven't heard about it happening with others. If it happens with your next shot I'd check in with your doctor

Agree with the others.   I'd say it's not related to your shot.

Hi sweetie! I am only asking this as a Paramedic that ran one call with these particular symptoms. Please do not get offended at all. If you had enough post's to PM I would ask you in private, but is there any change you could be pregnant? Like I said I am looking at this diagnostically as I ran a call like this in 1991. The person was 23, and experienced these very symptoms about three or four hours after his first injection. We transported him to the E.R. and it was found he was about 4 weeks into a pregnancy. The hormonal changes of pregnancy reacted very badly to the "T". I am not saying this is your case at all, it is just I remembered this call from years ago. Just trying to help out as I can not think of any other reason except a cold, flu or stomach disorder.  :)

I know for sure that I am not pregnant but thank you for the insight! I was better the next day and havent felt any of the symptoms since and am guessing that I was coming down with a 24 hour bug. I will talk to my doctor though if it persists. thank you!

Were you very stressed or anxious about your shot? I know some guys are so nervous they don't sleep a wink the night before, and stress can weaken your immune system.

Be weird. Be random. Be who you are. Because you never know who would love the person you hide.

I had a sore throat after my 2nd shot. It's pretty common, I think.
