I've had prominent stretch marks on my hips for years.  I was never overweight, but i still have them.  They are the result of lateral bone growth, something which I have no control over.  This gives me dysphoria because the stretch marks aren't from me growing taller; they're from me growing wider  >:(.  It's very disappointing because I know that there's nothing I can do to change my bone structure.

I tend to get them easily, I use a course of lightening cream and cocoa butter every night and it works great! Remember to take a bath first so that the lotion sinks in easier. They will gradually disappear and lighten. You can also do some stomach exercises to keep your core tight or yoga. Good luck- it will take a while, but it works for me.

I've got stretch mark both on my hips and a lot on my inner thighs, both of them are from my sudden growing (yes sideways :( ) during puberty. It sucks, but they should lighten slowly, although they won't all dissapear. I used to have tons of them on my chest from the same thing (I grew up fast suddenly) and they've become almost invisible. What's helped me is seeing that other guys have them too! Even on hips and chest. Or sometimes I consider them like battlewounds but that'sprobably just a strange me-ism.
