I tossed my 90s avatar and replaced it with a pic I took tonight.  Out with the old and in with the new older me...smile...

Finally bought new hair and am trying it on for the first time tonight.  I always went with dark colors in the past but this time I chose a Jaclyn Smith light blonde style from Paula young.  Most fun!

(You ladies thought I was going to say something else, didn't you?   :D)

Thank you ladies.  I'm hoping to update that pic again in the next couple months.  The Rx the doc prescribed is really taking off the pounds (83 lbs  since May).  I fully expect to be back to my 1990s weight by Christmas when I will take another pic.

83 lbs in five months is miraculous.  Congrats.  I hope you will be able to make your goal by December.  Best wishes, Dani.

It truly is a miracle Rx, Katy.  On May 8th I weighed 320 pounds.  I weigh 237 now and still losing.  It ramps up the metabolism and wipes out your appetite.  I've shrunk out of three sizes in the past three months!  My goal weight is 180 which will rest just fine on my 5ft-11in frame.  I will be there by Christmas - no problem.

Sorry Jessica, I couldn't resist.  :)  But in just a couple years, I may come back and take you up on the baked cookies.  The company I have worked for for the past 25 years let me know that I can take early retirement at 55.  I'm 51 now.  I informed my parents and siblings last night through email (and a couple of friends) that I will begin my transition at some point a year or two prior to that date.  I am excited that I finally have a timeline.  (My first goal/step was to shed this weight.) I thought this day would never come.  It is a most interesting feeling to know that someday, sooner than later, my psyche will be in alignment with my gender.

In that case I will eat this batch and make you a new one later. Oh the sacrifices I must make!  ::)

Your pic is wonderful! You could be so full time right now!  :)

That is high praise coming from you, Jessica.   Thank you!

I'm in complete agreement with Jessica.  You deserve the title, O Passable One, in spades.

In some respects the advent of a new avatar pales in comparison to the news you shared with your family, friends, and with us.  Wow!

I do hope that even though your plans call for a life-change well beyond crossdressing, you will occasionally visit us in the crossdressing forum and keep us abreast of your news.

If I had some non-alcoholic sparkling cider in the house, I would be popping the cork and toasting Dani on the occasion of her stupendous news.  Take care, Dani!

You ladies are awesome, than you Katy.  I read the other forums from time to time, and will probably start engaging there once I start the process, but I like it here...grin...

Just got an email from my dad a few minutes ago - (They've known for years about my gender issues.)

"Hell, I'm all for it. We only have but one go-around in life, and everyone has a right to be happy as possible in it. Just think things thru as you proceed, so as to create as few problems for yourself as possible.  We love you, and insist on updates on how things go."

Thank you!

I know we all look forward to seeing more as your confidence builds.  Last Saturday when I took these pics, I actually got in the car while it was still daylight and went for a drive.  I live in a small town (pop 3500) where all my neighbors know everyone.  I've lived in the same house for 25 years and I've driven the same car since 2006 so it was fun knowing that anyone seeing the car would wonder who was driving it...grin..the more I get out, the more my confidence builds...and it all started with pictures a friend of mine took in the 90s that I was able to share with family and friends.
