I wasn't out of coffee like I thought I was this morning... that counts for something right?
I'm not out, I'm not on E, unless things change I doubt I ever will be.

I ordered my first binder today.  I understand that guys learn to hate them, because they're squeezy and hot and just generally a pain, but I'll be very happy to have one.

A man held the door for me today and when I said thank you, he replied, "yes ma'am". I was over the moon. I haven't really even started my transition but I have long hair, smooth face, and I had on big sunglasses. It just felt so good to be "ma'am'ed" [emoji23]

I wore a camisole with a built in underwire bra to work today for the first time ever. And I actually fill the cup up. It is a small step but a huge leap for me [emoji176]

One of my colleagues is pregnant, and I asked her how the little one's coming along.

She said everything's going great, and then said: "Did I tell you that they've said we're having a girl? At least that's what it looks like we're having". Which is kinda sweet & sensitive; after all, she recognised that the baby's genitals mean that it's probably a girl but she's aware that this can't be taken as gospel.

Then she said she had a dream after they'd learned the sex of the baby, and that I featured in that dream. In her dream she'd had the baby & was bringing it around the office to show off (as new parents tend to do), and I'd asked whether this was her daughter. She replied: "Oh, no - it's my son. We thought we were having a girl but it turns out they got that wrong and he's actually a boy".

I'm so incredibly touched by what this dream represents.

It's clear that the fact that she has a transgender colleague who has transitioned from female to male right under her nose has made her think a bit differently about gender, and as a result she's open-minded about the gender of her baby-to-be and will probably be very accepting if that kid ever needs to come out about anything.

That's how we change the world, people: one person at a time. :)

I had the guts to buy my first bikini!

But will I keep it?

:

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

I was a bit scared to go to school because of my Tourette's getting bad again (just in time for Tourette's awareness month!) but oh my god, it was so worth it.

For one, I got a 90 on my test and FINALLY learned a good method for factoring.
My teachers were incredibly understanding of my tics and allowed me to work in the conference room.
I told the director of the school that I'm transgender, and she said everyone would be more than willing to accommodate my needs as a trans person (i.e. calling me by my real name and pronouns).
I found out that I have almost $150 in reward points from the school's point system.
I also found out that my score on the biology EOC was one of the highest in the county.

Today has been so great!
