I've been sick the last 4 or 5 days, a cold or something, somehow this made me feel like a guy. While I felt these feelings before recently, that illness was a bit shorter lived, now this is the second time this happened, so there might be something to it. Now that I'm starting to feel better though, I'm feeling more like Veronica.

There are other things that flip me to feel like a guy that seem to make sense on some level, like waking up to strange noises, or suddenly being in some dangerous situation, I guess somehow being sick does the same thing, it puts me in danger, although this still was so much different and much stronger and longer lasting than those other flips back to masculine. Was even starting to think about not shaving for no shave November...actually still might,it's just one month, not a major life decision...

Hi Veronica.

OMGosh I feel the same way a lot, especially as I begin to recognize those different characteristics within myself.

Yes, sounds at night, me too, make my male shine, I even sleep with a well sharpened sword next to my bed, ready to battle any intruders..!

I also notice now when I'm more male, I swear more, love that F-bomb sometimes. Something I never ever do when feeling my more female side..

Then I can be doing household chores, laundry, etc, and I'm much more feminine feeling and thinking.. The epitemy is when I'm watching dramas on TV, and will cry at the drop of a hat..

So you're certainly not alone, or unique in your feelings. Non binary is really complicated if we try and figure out every detail that's happening, at least too complicated for me yet on my journey, so maybe the best advice for us is to just "Go with it", and don't be afraid to be your true and authentic self, whether mostly male, female or any different place in between.. Its okay.!!

when i'm sick, i curse my big chest, bless my female genes, and sleep it off.
being male is never a good thing when you're sick, women are much more resilient.
didn't even get any meds when i had pneumonia once, while my brother would have died without them.

I failed to mention that this wasn't a bad feeling. It was actually a bit of an escape. I'm not going to lie and say all my issues are gone. I did go in to work with a stubble beard today, no one said anything. I'm not going play some stupid beard contest, and try for some ugly untrimmed epic beard that's unattractive to women, I'd lose anyway, but I don't really look like a girl clean shaven anyway. It's funny, I wore some sort of facial hair since I was like 13, unless some stupid job made me shave. That is until it started being partially gray. Maybe I actually need the facial hair to balance out the feminine mannerisms, hairstyle, and androgynous clothing choices I tend to make.
