Is this even possible? (Male to female) Are there any girls here who have done it? If so how is the transition going/how are the results?

I transitioned at 32 years old (starting HRT), 5'8", 200 lbs. I'm now a few pounds over that, since female HRT causes metabolism to slow down. ;)

I don't see ANY reason why weight would be a factor, within the range of "still able to walk," and I've had *fantastic* results - haven't been misgendered once since six months in even when all anyone could see was my face, curvy, 42DDD.

(I'm 4 years on HRT now, coming up on five, and changes have slowed but not stopped; still going well.)

Ah ok. I kind don't want to loose weight all that much. I want to have a "thick" figure If I transition eventually :). Although I do want to slim down to 200~230 lbs. Currently 270 lbs and 6'1 at 19 years old. I'll probably try to begin transitioning when I'm 20.

For HRT it probably won't be an issue but for surgery it may be.

Even for surgery, it depends on the surgeon - Brassard had no hard weight limit, although he said he "preferred" that I try to lose a few pounds from the 230 I was when I applied. (I did, and even kept a little of it off, but I'm still over 200 lbs now.) I had a letter from my GP saying I was in fantastic health and a good candidate for surgery; Brassard never even looked at it, but it made me feel better anyway. :)

And of course not everyone wants surgery anyway...

For surgery I'd expect it to be a problem...a friend had hers when she was 220lbs (5'11"), and she said the doc told her she was at the limit for him. Seems like fatty tissue has more complications during healing, sutures rip out easier etc.
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Well I'm not looking at srs for a long time now. Maybe not until I'm 27. So I have alot of time to loose weight.

Well I'm not looking at srs for a long time now. Maybe not until I'm 27. So I have alot of time to loose weight.

I'd start now.  Weight is easy to gain, but hard to lose.  I cut my self down to a 900 calorie diet, and lost 80lbs so far this year.  I tried for years to exercise and just cut down on fatty foods and I only gained weight.  I can't stand the taste of diet soda, but, I have found coke zero to be up to my standards for taste and it is what it is... zero everything.

To lose weight, it takes determination.  I started with a nutritious, she told me what I can and cannot eat.. no red meat (yay for the cows), no fast food, nothing fatty or fried, not a lot of seasonings, eat a LOT of green, do NOT eat corn (has no nutritional value AND it is hard on your system to digest), stay away from regular soda.  Was told to eat lot of pork, chicken, turkey with little seasonings, and small portions, stay away from eating too much fruit.  I also eat salad with low fat/calorie dressing.  I drink carnations instant breakfast mixed with skim or 1% milk for breakfast, an activia yogurt and fiber one brownie for lunch, and small something for dinner within my guide lines above.  No more late night snacks.  Don't eat after 6pm.  Also, celery is a wonderful snack, it's hard to digest so your system BURNS calories just digesting it and it's green :)

^^ Basically, have to eat like a woman ;)

Since starting the strict diet, I lose close to 4lbs a week sometimes more.  I see my doctor once a month about my diet to ensure I am OK and not, not getting enough nutrition.  But he knows I am on a strict 900 calorie diet.  Before doing this, _ANYTHING_ i did... did not work.  I just gained.

But not everything works for everyone.  I just found this to be most effective.  I will be in my target weight of 140lbs before too long xD

Yeah I pretty much started dropping weight in preparation for HRT. Down from 210 to around 175 now. I am 5'7". Hoping to be down to 160-165 when I'm ready to start. I am also ramping up the aerobic exercise to get myself in good cardiovascular health. I want NO road blocks from anyone... not doctors telling me I'm too unhealthy for HRT or surgeries, so I am working hard at it.

high5!!

You'll be okay for HRT.  Surgery, at 210 may of been too much.  Some doctors will do it anyways as long you understand the risks.  One of my girlfriends had the surgery few years ago and she was over weight, she said it was really tough on her.  Good luck sweetie!
