It honestly depends on your skin/hair, but If you're decently optimal(dark hair/light skin) 2-3 sessions will show good results usually.

Hi my first laser session made a huge difference after a month... It quickly grew back though... 1 1/2 months later I did the second one and it was much the same as the first but less grew back :) I did my third one after 2 months because the hairs came in that much slower after 2 sessions....  After number 3 I really started to like the results and the whole concept of 'beard cover' was a distant memory ;D Another 2 months later and number 4 just made it even better... Now about 2 months after number 4 Im actually worried there isnt enough to zap... I have some surgery booked (voice feminization) so I pushed number 5 out to 2 1/2 months...

I do notice Im actually gonna have to shave every 3-4 days now though, but its really easy, there aint much left :embarrassed: Gotta let em grow though so they can be killed I guess... After 4 sessions what little is coming in is much finer and weaker than the old gnarly nasty manly stuff though 8)

Maybe Im lucky but my beard was 75% darker brown hair and 25% grey/pure white hair and most of the white hairs were on my neck ... My upper lip and most of my face was all dark hair that pretty much all die after getting zapped... On the whites that survived the laser I did at least 100 hours of electrolysis... Im so glad I havent had to do it all with electro, the white hairs are nearly invisble after a quick shave and even after 2-3 days growth for the electro lady, MUCH better ;D I feel like after number 5 with the laser I will be able to start having my electro lady take out the few dark ones that come back... I did pay for 6 alexandrite laser sessions upfront for a discount though... Im to the point now with her we only need about 4 hours every two weeks to totally clear me and I can see that going down to two hours soon 8)

I figured after 6 laser sessions 2 months apart, (I started HRT 2 weeks after my first session) Id be full time...

I am now pretty much but I should be 100% for real after voice and facial feminization surgeries ;D All that will be done right about a year in on HRT....

As you can tell with my avatar pic I am very pale.  I am trying to kinda figure out a timeline for going full-time I haven't started hrt yet so much of it depends on how well the hormones work and also how fast the lasers work. I would like to be full time by October next b year and im starting hormones soon this winter.  So well see

I had very nearly the ideal combination for laser (very pale skin, dark brown hair) and I'd say three sessions was enough to have about 75% gone, and four sessions took it to 95%. I then went on to have a couple more touch-ups and got down to a handful of surviving hairs, but even those first 3 sessions were enough to let me go out without makeup if I wanted to.

thats awesome i hope it works that well for me but i also have some red and white facial hairs mix through my other ones i think i am gonna start in january. i have been able to save up some money lately( hit 1000 dollars for the first time since may when i quit my old job and moved away). so hopefully i can continue to save some money.

Yeah, unfortunately, the laser probably won't do anything for red hairs and definitely won't affect white ones, so those are likely going to survive. But even killing off all the darker hair might make a huge difference.

yea i dont have that many of those they are just scattered throughout my face, i dont think they will be that noticeable do to the small number of them.

I am not doing laser but I am doing electro and my wife is already stunned at how my face is different, even though I cleared just the side of my face.

The electrologist said in about 6 sessions a lot of it will be gone, but it will take about a year for full removal of everything.

I want to go fulltime in mid Summer 2015 or thereabouts. That's ambitious but I think I can swing it.

I have had 7 laser sessions on my face, legs, underarms and bikini. Honestly, face was the least effective but in saying that I have now got very few hair on my face and they are all white so laser won't do much for them. All the other areas responded so well, bikini and underarm was the best for me it took 12 weeks to see any regrowth on both of those areas and now I am completely hairless there.

Personally it was totally worth the money, my skin has never felt this smooth and I never get that three day prickliness i use to. [emoji1] couldn't be happier!

OUCH!! Is all I can imagine when thinking about doing under arms and the bikini area!!!

Id love to do those areas though, thats 2 places HRT hasnt slowed things down much and the hairs are still dark... All the rest, legs/arms is very fine blonde and very easy to manage with an epillator and razor after almost 7 months HRT...

So does laser hurt like hell there??? I know it does on my face and those two spots seem like it would be VERY uncomfortable and easy to get chaffed after lasering them....

Nah not really, underarms are barely noticeable and bikini is a little painful around the centre of the scrotum but otherwise it is fine. The most painful I think is the edge of the chin and the back of the ankles.

I have it on a really high setting but I don't really feel any pain except the Afro mentioned places.

Damn you, autocorrect!  LOL

I actually went full time after the effects of the second laser session manifested itself.  That pretty much wiped out 75% of the dark ones, and a close shave got me passable in daylight.

For me the first session got rid of 80% of my side burn and cheek hair. Didn't hurt much at all. The second session on a higher setting to target my stubborn lip and chin hurt a lot more. Eyes teared up and was visually red. Still going to keep making use of my package to clear it up more, but for dark coarse hair you should see major reduction in two sessions.

I don't think I have much of a choice. Boobs would be way too hard to hide at work. I develop fast and furious.

I hope I have that problem  ;).

Laser does wonders for getting rid of that black sub-skin shadow that doesn't go away even with the closest of shaves.  2-3 sessions and I was wearing noticeably less foundation - I just didn't need it to cover up the beard shadow anymore.

Well worth the investment, especially if you can find a Groupon or similar that will cut the cost to the low hundreds for six treatments.  Probably the best money I've ever spent when it comes to transition.

Highly recommend the laser.  F**king painful on those dense, dark areas of beard growth though.  I'd rather be waterboarded than have my upper lip lasered, but the end results are extraordinary.  For improving one's ability to pass, it's essential.

Just got off the phone with a dermatologist that was recommended to me by my Therapist.

I'm scheduled for a Laser consultation (Free) next Tuesday. She told me she needed to see my face, hair density, skin tone, hair colors and go from there.

I'm excited.  ;D

I wonder how much I should let my face grow out?

Edit: Oh btw...What about Nose hair? How do you all deal with that? I really hate it when it grows out, so gross.  I tweeze my nose hair often and it makes tears flow.  ???
My Fantasy is having Two Men at once...

One Cooking, One Cleaning.  ;D
