I think u are beautiful. If I saw you in person i think i would develop quite the crush. Your style is awesome, but it definitely says "hi, im queer." i don't mean that in a derogatory way at all of course. Im queer so i of course like it, but it might be a part of the reason you are getting the stares you do.

i think u have a super femme frame and beautiful soft skin, but i think u look really andro in these pics. you might wanna try a padded bra if you want to be seen as a female since you are pretty flat chested.

also since you asked about ffs. i could see it being beneficial tbh. but only for the brow because u have really deep set eyes and a protruding brow line which is evident in the second pic. and maybe the chin because it is kinda square. neither of which i would say are necessary but both things would help. the brow more so then the chin.

though i am positive that ur hair is part of why u are getting stared at, i actually love it. it is definitely unique and i think you rock it.

In other posts I have said you are beautiful, hot actually, and I stand by that.  However, seeing more of your hair, I understand the stares.  It's just a bit wild.  Especially with the color.  I don't think you are being clocked at all.  I think they see a beautiful young women with wild and crazy hair.  I do like your hair, but if you toned it down the stares would go away.

Jess is right. You look great- face and body don't have any features that make me look twice in a bad way. Yeah, it's the hair. I actually like the color, and think it suits you, but that coif needs to be tamed.

Don't detransition. I don't see a guy at all in your pictures, and it would be a shame to trade in the girl in the pictures with a guy who is unhappy and is suffering from a bad case of male-fail.

Chin up. The solution to your worries is a relatively cheap and inexpensive one.

Uh huh, I second previous comments about hair - it is just bound to draw attention and I suspect that's the only reason why people are staring at You. I look much worse than You, painter, both jawline and nose-wise, besides the stuff I wear is nowhere close to feminine(unlike Your dress, which is very cute), but in 99% of cases I dont get any stares. People like unusual and Your hair looks like it is worth to have another look... 🙂

I just got my eyebrows done today, wanted to see how my face looked with makeup. Do you think I could pass?

The eyebrows: go much, much thinner on them. If you got them professionally done, I can only imagine that you simply told them to clean them up. That won't get them to produce a feminine shape for you.  Ask for what you want. I tell my girls that I want them thin and pretty.

Also, is that chest hair, or are the shadows just doing funky things? If it is, lose it, and you will feel a lot better, I assure you.

And it appears that you are wearing a wig? I don't have much experience with them, but there is something about the hairline that does not look quite right; someone help me out with this.

Yeah, though, The first thing I would do is go thinner with the eyebrows.

Teg, thank you for the honesty! I get my chest waxed, and I asked her to do my eyebrows and put a little bit of arch in them. I would love to go thinner, but I have always had huge bushy caterpillars and don't want to draw too much attention yet. And yes that is a wig lol, I have a LOOONG way to go before my natural hair is as long as I would like it. Overall considering how I looked six months ago I am pretty happy with how I look now, and I know it can only get better! You look amazing by the way!

You do have some fairly masculine features and some feminine ones; you aren't there yet, but you're not too far off.  I think the wig might be a place to start-if you are going to take that route, a more natural looking one will go a long way.  You do have thin lips-I have a similar problem, and like to use a very subtle natural-toned lipliner  to make them appear just a little bit larger.  Also, you can only tell so much from the fact-if your frame is more masculine, you might want to think about if your wardrobe is flattering for your body type or not.  What sort of clothes do you usually wear?

I knew the wig might throw it a bit. That thing's been fairly unruly. My natural hair's workable, I just can't find a feminine style for it. I've been parting it the same way for like eight years now...feel like I'm stuck in a style rut.

As far as my frame, I've actually got a pretty decent figure. A bit broad-shouldered, but not too bad. And I have GREAT hips and a killer backside (nature's apology to me for making me flat I guess  )

Hmmm...it migth be a good idea to see a professional stylist just once to see what ideas they might have.  I know what you mean wrt a style rut-I was wearing all the menswear that's just coming into style today in 2010!  You'll learn to adapt as time goes on-at least, I have.  I know I must seem like a hypocrite with regaurds to the hair issue, but trust me, in theory, I know it will help.

Someone here mentioned that I needed to post more photos for them to get a good idea of how I look.  I figured I should probably post some photos of me that aren't so flattering.  Like all of us, I look ok from certain angles-but here are some photos of what I look like when I'm not trying to make sure the camera is at the correct angle.  Passing is very, very important to me.  Why am I not doing it?  Is it the way I dress?  Do I need ffs?  Or, is it something I can't change, like my hair or my frame?  Please, please be brutally honest.  I do not need encouragement.  If I'm not going to be able to pull it off, please tell me while there's still time for me to plan my detransition before I graduate from collage.

The first two are a front and profile of me in crappy lighting without makeup, without doing my hair, or anything.



And, this one is just me in what I wore to the mall yesterday, in full makeup.  Yeah, my hair is a mess...it's always like this.  People were staring at me left and right yesterday, I'm sure I was being clocked a lot of the time. 


So, honestly-I've been on hrt for two years.  Am I ever going to be able to really, actually pass 100%?

In your full body shot you are cute. I would look at you because you are cute. And you have style. You deserve a lingering gaze in order to appreciate you and your talent for style. I love the hair. Sure it is wild. But I would gaze upon your hair longer than most other people's hair because yours is different... but it is different in a wonderful unbridled and feminine way. It is feminine. Your nose is extremely feminine. Your chin shape is strong, but not too strong, not as strong as many beautiful women. It has a lovely shape. It is square, but just nicely delicately square.  If you want me to name the women whose chins are stronger than yours... let me know. Your lips are pretty and so are your eyes. Your brow bossing in the side view is masculine. It is your #1 tell. If you really feel like you are not passing, the brow bossing would be the first place to address. Reducing brow bossing is one of the easiest surgeries from which to recover and the results would be visible in days not weeks. recovery from brow surgery and success in the outcome, in the hands of master like Facial Team, Dr. D or Dr. Bart, has become almost automatic.

Passing is harder than looking androgynous, it requires a different set of "skills".  But yeah...you're doing pretty well.

Your face does have a lot of potential, but just one little thing...  I totally get where you're coming from, but now that you're going through with transition, you might want to start unlearning words like "fish" and "fishy."  At least outside of drag circles.  It has a tendency to rub certain people the wrong way, and I've never, ever heard a biological female use that word.  Except maybe Michelle Visage, but who the hell knows what she is?
