Here are a few of mine.

This would be like me in the store checking my shopping list on my phone or posting on Susan's:

My current glasses. I don't know if I like them all that much but a couple of people have said they are fine. I can get contacts on my insurance plan but I would still need a pair.

What do you all think?

Just out of bed. no makeup.

After getting dolled up.

So I got done taking pictures and feel like they just don't do me much justice. In the mirror I think I looked so cute.. but the pictures just look... idk. weird. Anyways. I went around asking everyone in my family what they thought. No one said I failed. In fact the worst that was even said was "I'm just not used to it.. so it's hard to say if you would pass or not". Others said I passed.

So.. Do I pass? I'm pre HRT. Just playing with makeup and having a good time. I keep looking in the mirror thinking I have a pretty good chance at passing. But I wanna know what you all think. Brutality is welcome. Don't sugar coat it. I can take it :D

After getting dolled you look good! youre cute when you first get up lol PASS! :)

Thanks;. :)

I go to a local optometrist. He gives me a full work up, dilation and everything. Insurance covers it all. He is very good but his office staff can be overwhelmed.

As for chains I like Cohen's but I also like Costco. In some states I don't believe you need a membership to get glasses.

Oh rock on! :) My insurance is pretty good too (for the first time in my life) which is super nice! I've been looking at these on Lenscrafters but I cant decide - http://www.lenscrafters.com/lc-us/dkny/679420215235  what do you think? I haven't given much thought into chains.. However I am SUPER clumsy sometimes :/ LOL thanks for bringing that to mind! :)

You definitely pass. You don't always need to have started HRT to pass. I'm proof of that. Both books are lovely. You don't even really need the makeup to pass where as I'm self conscious about being caught without makeup and really don't have reason to be.

I'm not 100% sure how it would look on your face. However for your shape face that would seem like it would work.

You can also try framesdirect, glassesusa or Warby Parker. You can upload photos and do a virtual try on. They also have a try on at home kit but the selection is somewhat limited. You would still need an eye exam but as you said you have decent insurance so that should be no problem.

Hi!  I just hit four months.  I don't know how to do makeup, so forgive me there.  Luckily, it was only lipstick and eyeshadow, so I don't think I messed it up too bad.   These pics range from the 3 1/2 month mark up until yesterday when I hit four months.  Hoping to be able to go full time within the next 3-6 months.  Any advice or constructive criticism is appreciated, as well as general input.  Oh, as far as age is concerned, I'm 25 years old.

Aly,
You look fantastic, especially for only four months. You have a great face shape, which I'm sure will only improve as you continue in your transition. Full lips, sparkling eyes, and a great smile. My favorites are the bottom two; you just look so natural and happy.

Keep on smiling and keep on sharing!

Cheers,
Tegi

Your first pic looks so natural!  You've got the whole package there.  Just a girl looking at her phone.   :)

You look great :) I would probably clock you, but that's because, seeing myself in the mirror every day I kind of already know what to look for... But eh you're fine :)

Dare I ask? I hope this isn't too personal. If it is feel free to tell me to shush and to pester off :P How on EARTH do you have that cleavage pre HRT? I've been 7 months already and even with double push up bras and squeezing them together I can't get any cleavage what so ever >:<

OMG lol.. Hun just look up creating cleavage with a NuBra on youtube. You'll need to carry a brick in your purse though. Once you get as much cleavage as I fake... well.. Everyone's eyes just go there. And I would never tell anyone to shush! lol.. I had so many questions when I first started figuring myself out and everyone I asked was VERY helpful. I'll always want to return that kindness :D

Like I stated.. I really don't think the pictures did me any justice. I've never been photogenic. Or maybe I've just never had any confidence on camera. Idk. Lastnight I finaly told my entire household about me. (living with 8 family members long story) So Now I get to go girlmode MUCH more often. And take pics! :D :D I'll keep posting if you promise to keep judging haha

I got several replies saying I was cute and pretty. Thank you ALL for the nice comments. I was really not expecting them. Being the ugly boy all my life and suddenly being complimented is a big step for me. It means a lot. Thank you all.

<-- I will just use my profile pic as well since idk how to upload a pic in this reply. What do you think?

BTW Rotika you look absolutely gorgeous! Come hrt you are going to be amazing. My advice ask one of your girlfriends who is good with makeup to teach you to contour your jawline (ie soften it up) I think it does loads regardless of pre or post hrt.

Hello Everyone,

So today I went out on my own for the first time... it was a bit scary but I did it (yay!!). Anyways, I decided that I wanted to wear minimal make up to see if I could pass with just a little bit of help from make up. I was shopping and I heard a worker mention something about me (she said theres one in the plaid jacket), so I was a bit self conscious after that, but before that I felt okay. It's hard not to think the worst of people. What do you guys think?? Any suggestions?

Hey Cole,
You have a really pretty face try not to cover it up so much, also dont be afraid to show some body shape and skin; like some cute skinny jeans and a cute blouse with an open jacket (not so puffy as the one your wearing).

But your doing the right thing with your makeup, less is definitely more! It gives you a gorgeous natural look.
Maybe try having a look on 'Pinterest' for outfit ideas. That has helped me amazingly.
