I have some questions if you wouldn't mind to take some of your time, Thank you.
Questions:
~I have yet to tell my parents not because I'm scared I just don't know the right words. How should I go about doing this?
~Should I see my pediatrician before a gender doctor?
~How do I choose a good gender doctor?
~Do I need to be on testosterone before top surgery?
~Do I need a therapist permission to have top surgery done and to be able to have testosterone?
~Should I have my parents help me with my new male name?
~How do I know if I pass?
~Should I buy a binder/stp packer?

Thank you for helping me out.  :)

- Consider reading other people's coming out experiences and maybe write them a letter. This way it would all be on paper and you wouldn't be able to mess it up. I'd be sure you have all the answers to questions they may ask.

- Your first stop should be a therapist who specializes in gender issues. Depending on where you are/what insurance you have, you may need to speak to your family doctor to get a referral. You need to figure that out.

- Google. Find the closest 3 therapists with gender experience and then ask around about them. Let other people's experiences guide your decision making.

- No, but you will need a referral letter from a therapist.

- Yes to top surgery, maybe to testosterone. It depends where you live and what resources are available. If you're under 18, you'll need parental approval for both of those things as well.

- That's up to you. You should make it a name you like, and if they're able to help you do that, great.

- When people address you or view you as male. It's largely subjective and based on a combination of factors not limited to your appearance. A lot of it is behavioral.

- That's also up to you. These things typically help transmen pass. If you don't have a large chest, you may not need to bind to pass. Not everyone packs or stands to pee either. It's all personal preference. There isn't one type of transman. Head over to the FTM board and you'll find lots of guys doing lots of different things to feel right in their bodies. It's whatever makes you feel better.
