I've said a while back that I'm not sure if I want to take estrogen, but I would like to have less testosterone, I can't get blockers right now and so I was wondering if maybe I could lower it a little bit by eating a little bit differently, I know it won't get rid of as much as blockers would, but if I can get it a little bit lower now I'd like to, does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about this?

One obvious way would probably be to eat less meat, but does anyone have any other ideas?

I do want to get blockers, I just don't know when I can.

Thank you for your time.

Hi,  I haven't read of any definitive work tying lower testosterone to diet.  It might exist, but I haven't run across it.

I'm sorry I don't think there is a way of lowering your testosterone through diet, at least not in a noticeable way.

ive managed to reduce my testosterone quite a bit by changing diet... but, its still close to normal range for males =.=  diet wont affect it enough to actually have a noticeable effect and is nothing compared to pills.  though the placebo effect though.  at least i can lead myself to believe, most of the time, that im making a difference, so it improves my mood a bit.

spearmint tea is the biggest thing.  i have a waterbottle at work that i put like, 4-5 spearmint tea bags in and just fill it up throughout the day.  i go through like. 7-8 bottles of tea per day?

I haven't heard of any diet being effective but remember if you do succeed in reducing T you need to replace it with the other sex hormone E to keep healthy bones.

I've read that saw palmetto which is used for reducing  enlarged prostate, does so by reducing T. Don't know for sure but might be something you would like to research. I'd been taking it for years to reduce chances of prostate issues and when I had my T levels done I came in on the lower end of normal for a male. Unfortunately don't have a previous baseline to compare to.
