Hi Everyone, just wanted to give a quick introduction!  My name is Melissa, I am 26 years old MTF living in the Philadelphia area.  I started transitioning about 3 years ago and have been on HRT for about 15 months and living full time for about 9 months.  Most of my family and loved ones know about my transition and they have been having a hard time with it to say the least.  However, the company I work for has been super supportive so work has served as a bit of a safe haven for me.

Overall I'd say I'm a pretty typical 26 year old girl.  I like to hangout with the friends I have, go shopping, run(currently training for a marathon) and play video games every once i awhile.  I'm kind of shy but like to me new people and hope make some new friends on here.

Talk to you later! :)

~Melissa~

Hi Melissa,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

So good to hear you are and handling your journey with such confidence. That's really important. Sure some people will find it hard to accept your choices, but essentially that's their problem to face and overcome. By you sticking faithfully to your resolve will help them, even if it takes time. You must remember that.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy; and keep up the good job you're doing for yourself.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Hello Melissa and welcome to Susan's. Congratulations on your transition. Have you targeted a particular marathon you will run?  Happy New Year!

:)

I'm signed up for one in March in North Carolina.  I'm pretty nervous about it since its my first one, but I'm doing it with a friend who has many marathons under her belt so hopefully she'll get me through it.
