After 50 years of having a son and a daughter, we now have two sons.  It's going to continue to be a learning experience.  We're struggling to get the new name/pronouns right, but we're old and our memories aren't what they once were.  However, we will continue to do our best to support our youngest son.  We were able to go to visit over the holidays while he had his top surgery done.  I will be doing a lot of reading here to learn more.

Welcome Txftmom to Susan's family

So many topics to read and post to write.

Time and respect for your child will make the gender pronouns settle in.

If you believe in there gender it also helps.

Support either way is the real thing needed.

The rest will come.

Relax transition is a marathon not a sprint race. It lasts a lifetime.

Hugs

Thanks, I expect time will help.  I just don't want to hurt his feelings with my slips.    :embarrassed:
