I know straight dudes don't really look at girls as closely as other girls do but honestly, what do you think is the point they start noticing and caring about a trans girl being physically different than a cis girl? Do you think they notice stuff like if her skin is bad? For those physically attracted to women, please be honest, would you be turned off by a trans girl who had not so great skin but otherwise looked basically 100% cis? I'm trying to understand the mindset. And I don't mean desperate loserish guys, I mean like if they're being picky and only want a girl who's pretty.

I mean I hate it but T really ruined my skin and there's not much I can do abt that, I try but god it's so dull and coarse looking though, and I mean it's suffered from chronic stress and EDs and SH too so, but I get jealous af around normal girls :/

If You want to understand their mindset, a friend of mine, very sharp young woman, told me a fairytale about "guys".
We have a similar one here about princess being locked up on the top of glass mountain - the roles are reversed, and there is random average dudebro rescued by viking/valkiry/Nordic blonde woman, who basically carries him down on her shoulders and saves his day. The blonde girl then asks him what he thinks of her and maybe they should try to know each better.And the guys says "Nah, your bewbs are too small." Kinda summarises it all.

My (cis) wife has worse skin than me. Her hands especially are dry and cracked. But that's not what I first noticed about her and I wasn't attracted to her skin.

My gf doesn't have great skin but it doesn't take away from the attraction I have for her, like its not a deal breaker for me. So if she were trans I would still feel the same way. My skin is like mega soft in comparison to hers so anything rough feeling on my skin just feels crappy no matter what but like I said I still find her super attractive. I hate getting hugs from guys with stubble just cause its so irritating to my skin. Anyways point is, cis or trans people that want to be with you, will be with you regardless of your flaws.

Obviously but I have pores and idk I feel like some of my fine hairs are just a tiny bit darker and somehow someone would notice. I just have genetically thick hair too, I don't like it. It's definitely also T related though. Like my sister has bad skin (acne, I didn't get acne though) but not in the same way, her skin has more of a glow and mine is just dull and gross imo. And it's not bc I'm male only but I AM trans and I'm afraid guys would see my skin problems and go ugh you look like a dude. I don't know why I guess it's just hard to get feedback from guys since they're so quiet around me.

For acne scars, I got 3 sessions of Fractional Laser Skin Treatments during the past 1 year. People notice the enhancement. But, it is a little bit painful, especially in the first session, and I was not allowed to run outdoors or wash my face for a week after each session.

The stereotype is guys really don't notice many details period.  But idk.  I would be curious to know how much of the little flaws guys notice too, cuz sometimes stereotypes are wrong or unfair.  I do know for a fact that guys don't often pay much attention to their own skin, but ofc standards of beauty between the sexes have never been exactly fair.

Most women here have far more fair faces than mine. Even compared with men, I facial skin is not so much good. The girl at my right is more than 10 years younger than me. She looks ordinary, but has flawless facial skin. To the right, she is at my age, usually wearing foundation. I am just wearing suncream plus lipstick and eyeliner.

The problem with talking about a general population is that it forces one to project. I'm personally not attracted to boobs, and found your post a bit offensive. Like sure, it's meant to be humourous, but the point of humour is to make truth more digestible.

On topic, everyone is different (</cliche>). People can accurately talk about themselves, but can only make assumptions about others. When one person cares about one thing (like skin or boobs) there will be others that don't.

When I met my cis-gf (now wife), she was working as a housecleaner. Her hands were very rough, rougher than anything I had as a guy. It never bothered me; I always look at the heart first, body third.

There are guys who look at the girls body first; these are the ones who go on and on about boobs, butts, etc. You don't want one of those guys anyway!

Keep up with the lotion (and sunscreen); it is known that, like smoking, once you stop a bad habit and start taking care of yourself, much of the damage either goes away, or is less obvious.

I have bad skin caused by acne as well along with large pores. I've been using Finacea as prescribed by my dermatologist and it has visibly reduced the size of my pores by a lot.

And depending on what kind of acne scars you have, there are treatments you can do that'll definitely help get rid of/make less visible the scars. I have the scars (a lot ) that are sunk in, not raised so I went for a microdermabrasion with a light chemical peel afterwards with my dermatologist. The raised scars can best be dealt with with the laser treatments.

Also, since skin varies person to person and is very sensitive, it is very important that you seek advice and treatment from a dermatologist. Some spas do offer treatments like what I mentioned above but since a majority (if not all) are not medically trained in the application of those treatment, they may cause more harm than good. Better safe than sorry, and I would never risk further damaging my skin after years of facial skin care neglect.

Most dermatologists do offer free consultation so you can definitely go get a free consultation and see what their advice would be. It is very important to be honest about what your problem is with your skin and what you want to do with it or what you want your end result to be.

I use to have typical guy skin in high school (although little to no acne). In college I began eating only white meat and vegetables and fruits while also only drinking water 95% of the time. I counted each calorie I ate and made sure I exercised it off. I began running every day for at least 5 miles and did some weight training every other day. My body fat went down to the single digits and my sisters use to make fun of me calling me skulletor. My skin did make a huge improvements. Cis girls were jealous of my skin and asked what I do. Some thought I had to be wearing makeup and even asked if they could touch my face.
