It is not my intent to hurt feelings, just to make the point that we really don't know what we will get until we have them.
Boobs are typically one of the very first signs that HRT is working, no matter what their final size. They are totally female. I do not think any non surgical, cosmetic change is more drastic or important for me or most other MTFs, as they provide a legitimacy. They feel different. They move different. They ARE different. Unlike most of the other changes, boobs keep grabbing my attention. The other stuff, I got used to fairly quickly.
They are especially important to people of a certain age because hormones will no longer effect their bone structure. Boobs are the main prize for many on HRT.
BUT, like the weather, there is rarely perfection. Most days are either too hot or too cold. Breasts are like that. If they aren't too small, they get too big very quickly, and people will complain about both while wishing they had landed on the other side of the fence.
I have noticed that a lot here. Many people complain about the small size of their breasts while negating my complaints because I am trending bigger. I TOTALLY understand. It doesn't mean I have no need to vent, though. It does not negate my issues and complaints. Larger boobs come at a cost, even amongst the trans community. Yeah, I am proud of them, but also intimidated. I like presenting andro a lot of the time, and my chest alone is making that difficult.
The boobs themselves are the victory. Heck, they are practically miraculous after life without them. Most people will develop a love/hate relationship with their breasts no matter their final results.
