Never expected my aunt to be the first to know

Family got together yesterday for Easter. After everyone else left it was just my aunt and I. I mentioned I've been going through some things and that I really wanna see a therapist. She told that if I wanted to tell her what was bothering me that she would keep anything I said in confidence. I took a deep sigh and finished my glass of wine in one swig and then I just told her. "I don't always feel like a guy, I think I'm transgender." She was very accepting and supportive and told me she was thrilled I would confide in her. It was such a huge weight lifted off my chest to finally tell someone I know, especially because my aunt was like a second mom to me while growing up.

Thanks! She also said she didn't think that there was anyone in our family that wouldn't love and support me no matter what. I've assumed the same, but it was nice to hear someone else say it.
