MTF HRT Nipple growth and when to get Nipple Piercings?

hey! so I was just thinking that the answer to this might in part be a little subjective, as each person develops differently, but I just wanted to at least get a general sense about how long to wait if one wanted to get nipples pierced.

From what I understand, nipples will begin to enlarge and protrude after a while of being on HRT, how long might that take?

How long should you wait/how big should they be before you can more safely decide to get them pierced? (as I wouldn't want to get them pierced only to see the piercing start to migrate outward as the nipple keeps growing)

I'm curious if nipple sizes maxes out much before breast size maxes out, and what to expect, and then try to estimate how many months/years I should wait before getting the piercing.

If you're concerned about them growing out, etc you should probably wait for a couple of years as that seems to be the 'average' time of growth. It's not an issue for me, no way on earth am I getting them pierced!

Unfortunately for me there has only been very minor change...

But not sure I'd want piercings anyway, had trouble with 2 attempts of belly button piercings...

But as Ms Grace said give it a few years, it varies a lot between women.

To be on the safe side, I'd wait some time - six months to a year? - from when the nipples appear to have stopped changing.

I'd say mine were probably at their current size by about two years on HRT (whereas my breasts are still changing at 5+ years in, albeit slowly now).

MTF nipples never look like GG nipples and I am a bit surprise that they never gave me way in a very public shower I used. I suspect it was because I was outed at that location and as there were around a thousand people there, mostly men, the word moved around without us ever hearing a peep. It also could be because women don't stand around naked comparing each others bodies. I started hormones around 1977 and my nipples are a little bit bigger and fainter in appearance than before hormones. I suspect the FTM would be happy if their nipples looked like mine before surgery.
As for piercings and tattoos, I am glad I never got one. I would hate to cover them up when I am in certain places. I don't even have pierced earrings though I don't have issues with them on other people. Now if I can only get my neighbor who knows about me to stop bugging me to pierce my ears - - - - She thinks they will help me look more feminine by her definition of feminine. I keep telling here that's not where the issues are. It's just hard being petite like she is when you tower over nearly everybody. Thankfully hight skipped a generation as my dad was 3 inches taller as is my nephew.

Dena : Wow, I don't know why you'd think that, but it's not true - there's a huge variation in cis women's nipples and areolae, and trans women's generally fall within that range. Our breasts develop the same way and from the same hormones as a cis girl's, after all. You might want to look for the "Normal breasts gallery" to see what a wide variety of breasts there are, including women with tiny nipples and women with pale or small areolae.

(My areolae are about 2" across and much darker than pre-HRT, and my nipples are considerably larger as well. I even developed the Montgomery's glands around the nipple [I got curious about what those little bumps were and found out the real name for them] and once had a brief period of minor lactation.)

Jenna : It is something read a long time ago and I was never able to check it out personally as I am a 63 year old virgin(we coined the term quadruple virgin for me). After my surgery I went on to live a normal life and pretty much stayed out of the whole gender thing other than something in the news. I know an enormous amount of information about the reassignment process but I am very new to the vast amount of information in the web. Just think like I have been in the freezer for 30 years and somebody just took me out. I am going to get some of the current terms wrong like CIS and I had to look it up. We always used GG. I will learn and will not be offended by any corrections to my post.

I also had minor Lactation as well when I started hormones but nothing after that.

Thanks a lot for the help! I think I'll wait the 18-24 months on HRT prior to getting them pierced then to be on the safe side!

I already have piercings before HRT and that worries me sadly. I guess I could always watch growth and if things get out of hand go to my piercer. I would really prefer not to get them redone lol

This is completely UNTRUE, and I know this because of my very own, at one point I was worried they were getting too big, but it does seem to be the standard for slim mtf nipples to not develop much for what I keep hearing and reading. At one point I thought everyone's developed like mine until I was told otherwise.  I don't know. I would love to be able to post pics of my nipples but I am sure that's not within forum's rules! Not saying mine are in the norm, but I am proof that it does happen and I'm sure there's a few other girls like me out there!

I've seen the nipples of at least a few hundred transgender women and countless genetic women and I can safely say TG ladies can have nipples that look imperceptibly different from g-girl nipples. HRT-influenced breasts do take time to develop, though, and so for a few years may not look that same as those of g-women their same age. You're basically beginning puberty at 25, 35, 55 or whatever, so for some time you'll have the breasts of an adolescent.

Ever, the amount of time for development varies from person to person, but you can pretty much gauge it from the amount of time it takes a girl to go from prepubescent breasts to those of a mature woman-- maybe anywhere from two to seven years. Meanwhile, maybe you can get by with a pair clip-ons.

As far as nipple piercing:

I had both of mine pierced pre-HRT.  My barbells were 1/2 inch long, small 16 gauge.  I had tiny nipples and tinier areolas as a guy.  The piercings were quite loose (on either end I mean... lots of space between the ball-ends.)

So fast-forward a bit:  I had to get 5/8 inch barbells because my nipples were starting to form a cup around the ball-ends due to growth.  This was around 9 months into HRT.  That's NOT to say that my nipples are huuuge now haha.  It's just that my particular breast growth has been a lot more areola than nipple and at this point it's hard to tell what is what (nipple/areola).  So my areolas grew both outward and in diameter, which kinda encroached on the piercings.  It's not as bad as I described it, my piercings still look great, I just had to upgrade in size.

My piercings got deeper, if anything, because of the growth.  Imagine bread rising in a pan.

I guess my point is... A) Piercings will not impede growth B) Piercings will not migrate outward
